What do you want from dlc?

more armor (pieces as well) and weapons
a way to sell minerals (have researched every upgrade, but never have more then 20000 creds)
more dialog for squad members for when you've beaten the game
more side-quest as well as the occasional campaign as well
more locations in the citadel and omega

I don't mind some additional customization options, and a gun slapped on top of story driven DLC, even a pack of N7 missions would be fun, anything that adds some motivation for another playthrough, just another gun won't do the trick.

1. What I'd primarily like would be small, atmospheric tweaks done by some DLCs, like new newscast messages (like, for example, the ones you get transmitted via the Cerberus Network) - some of them foreshadowing new missions maybe? - and a wider range of reactions of the NPCs and the places you visit, especially after you've done the main storyline.
For one, the colony attacks do stop, and more and more people, starting with Omega, will most likely be able to put two and two together and figure out who did it (hint: the guy with the prototype warship and the 'Dirty Dozen'-like crew of specialists). Put that in the game, have the bystanders react on you (in AWE if you did it as a paragorn, in FEAR if you went renegade).
Also, improve the reactions of the environment especially if you have Legion in your squad! Add some cutscenes, add some drama if you want, but it's obvious for all the world to see LEGION IS GETH! If I take him to the Citadel I can very well expect there to be major complications and constant reactions from the populace. The way it is now, Anderson does not even look at him and just gives one line on the armed to the teeth AI platform. There should at least have been a major problem at the customs' location instead of everybody dismissing the armed to the teeth AI platform as Shephard's personal notebook.
And I second the call for larger explorable sections on Omega, Illium and the Citadel.
2. Secondly, receive updates on the work on the Collector base if you decided to keep it, maybe even make a small mission where Cerberus tasks you with shipping some critical supplies and a dozen or so specialists there so you can see what is happening. Also: Show that Cerberus is salvaging the literally hundreds of ancient wrecks there; the data and technology to be found there is priceless and will add even more depth to the universe (eg. give some more info on all those space-faring races we read about when we explore and scan planets that went extinct).
And I want some good reasons added why after I opted for keeping the base basically every of my team members reacted as if I had just offered the Virgin mary to Lucifer on a silver plate. Seriously, either you make it a conscious choice that makes sense like the end discussion in ME1 or you at least make everybody give me some good reasons for their statements that go beyond 'I don't trust the IM'.
3. Downloadable missions should either be massive, stand-alone narratives that truly do span hours of game play OR should tie in with already existing narratives (Liara and the Shadow Broker, Mr. Thrax, the information-smuggling Salarians on Omega...). It doesn't even have to do something with the main storyline about the Reapers, really. The SR2 going after a pirate lord in the Terminus systems (new solar systems, please) because the Alliance doesn't have to guts for it would be fine. Hell, throw in a space battle or animated boarding sequence, and it would be great!
I am more than willing to pay for new content as long as that content warrants payment! Paying 5$ for the Asteroid mission in ME1 was okay, even though I had hoped for a bit more, but I won't open my purse for DLCs that amount to no more than the side-missions you did in ME 2 when you found an anomaly while scanning a planet.
Also, more Quarians!

"People see shade of gray everywhere, but the code is black and white"
I want to talk to my team mates during a mission like in ME1, I what to hear the news with out clicking on the stand,I want the elevator ride to be optional because i like them in ME1 it made the world seem bigger, and last but no lease ,i want a planet to relax with my team, beach, drinks, the
girls playing volleyball, shooting range, sun bathing, little umbrella martinis, you know time of from all the shooting and almost dieing scene,I think the team need some time of to.

More fish and more spaceship models (if you can find a way to fit them, that case is pretty full).
More armor patterns (no new armor, just new customizibility options).
Missions dealing with the collapsing star. I fear that Tali's mission to investigate the prematurely aging star is going to be a plot point for ME3, but I think that it would work well as an independent DLC that is not directly related to the Reaper fight. Those things are going to be insane enough without having them killing stars.

Something like Awakening for ME2, except without a new cast. I want to take the team I just assembled on new missions. I love the team of ME2 and I want to do more with them.
In order of what I'd like to see
-1 Full Fidelity Planet (Illium/Omega) with ~12 quests
-1 Full Fidelity Squadmember (Not Zaeed Fidelity)
-12 Full Fidelity Side missions
-Side-missions should allow you to save people, not just go around shutting off alarms and stepping over corpses
-Vehicles, Vehicle areas and vehicle combat.
-10 New Armor pieces with more variety in aesthetic design and stat bonuses.
-Vivid Color in world design. I want to see verdant outdoor planets. I want to see glass space Stations in Gas Giants over bright red and yellow clouds of poison. Or the Blue and Green molten diamond oceans of Neptune!
---> Vivid colors and more places to visit. <---
I'd also really like to see another mission with the Migrant Fleet, and I'd REALLY like to see a mission involving Legion's geth. Also, it would be awesome if we got a dlc mission to help Liara kill the Shadow Broker. Another few that would please me: getting to finally kill Balak (without having to sacrifice innocent lives); finding the new rachni homeworld and doing...I don't know, something; getting Ashley to stop being a dumb c*nt; helping Wrex unite the krogan; maybe doing some kind of quest similar to the Normandy crash site, but with Kaidan (or Ashley, if people chose to let her die). Finding some kind of cure for Thane is high on my list, and a trip to Kahje whilst doing so would be most epic; I've always wanted to learn more about the hanar, and now that they're part of the universe, the drell.

Combat Simulator in the Cargo bay of the SR2 Normandy. You can go in and load up a combat sim like Pinnacle station.
Like that idea.
Pinnacle Station was apparently awful (never dled it myself), but I suspect that may have been due largely to ME1's combat system not being fun enough to stand on its own outside of a decent rpg plot . Personally feel that ME2's combat system is fun enough to make this sort of DLC work (if they do it right).

Also being able to visit where you grew up, like earth or the colony that was attacked. For spacer you could go see your mum or something? That way we could have a good peice of dlc that lasts a while, I would just like to see Shepards past for myself so I could make some choices and customize my experience further!
And more places from ME1 to visit in ME2!

I figure its easy and cheap to do as it doesn't require expensive stuff like having to bring voice actors back into the studio to record new lines and you don't have to go through the whole mocap thing again. Thats the sort of thing that requires alot of coordination and where time = huge money.

I especially don't want anymore stupid armor, got enough of those rubbish - better break them into pieces for N7 armor customization, too little options currently.
#69
Posté 10 février 2010 - 01:59
- 3 new pieces of gear for each slot, make them more specialized looking and work into specific archetypes (example: big, bulky shoulder pads for an armor bonus).
- multiple new patterns for N7 armor and include some obviously lacking colors (black pattern color comes to mind).
- helmet toggle
- color customization for teammates similar to Shepard's locker.
- given that ME2 actually had good combat, something like Pinnacle Station could be fun, though more of a "dungeon crawl" type scenario with increasingly challenging combat situations. Make the last portions ludicrously hard and offer great, aesthetic rewards that people can collect like a badge of honor.

How about starting with releasing the pre order dlc and incisor rifle over the cerberus network.
I agree. Or to quiet the expected complainers, package all of the preorder/special edition exclusives for $5 or $10.

- A few new N7 armour varieties, as well as a comparable customisable version perhaps a Cerebrus armour version. ( I know about the Cerebrus assault armour but it aint customisable)
- Urz as a pet. Or as a squad member like dog.
- The ability to Kill Udina.
- More dialougue for characters we already have, Garrus for example seems to have very little.
- A big expansion pack similar to Awakening, Shivering isles, Point lookout, The Pitt etc.
- More sidequests a LOT more sidequests. There realeasing that Hammerhead which will allow planet exploration like the Mako but improved, I like the sound of this as long as there is a bit of variety.
- A expansion pack where you take control of a different character, For example Garrus on Omega or Wrex (or another Krogan) on Tuchanka.
- The ability to kill Udina.
- Different armour choices for the squad, I still think its a little stupid for both Jack, Miranda and Jacob to be saving the Galaxy without armour :}.
- The ability to blow up Udina
- An option to control the Squad members like in DAO. My freind is helping construct a mod to do this and while extremaly buggy, it seems to definitley be making the game more tactical. ( I have 360 so wont be able to use it :{ )
- New weapons ive realy liked the others that have being realesed.
- Ill take a risk and put this on, A Batarian squad member weve had nearly every other race.
- A pet Pyjak
