This thread is to show your support for Ashley and Kaidan and their role as a potential squad mate in ME3. Besides Liara, the Virmire surivivor is the only remaining squad mate that is guarenteed to be alive at the end of ME2.

We all know that BioWare is listening to our feedback on ME2, and we MUST  let them know we are not satisfied with their brief (to put it nicely) role in ME2. I noticed there are several different ashley, or kaiden threads but not one single unified thread. I believe this is our best chance to get them back in our squad. And we must act early on in the development.

So please discuss anything that has to do with Ash/kaidan whether it be pics, why you like, them or just what you think their future role might be.

They almost definatly will bring the survivor back, and I fully support it.



not that I've been too blown away by their Characters and I almost always ended up romancing Liara, but Storywise they should.

I think their love story arc could really be the most gripping. But we need to show the devs we care about them!

I had my Shepard romancing Kaiden but killed him on Virmire because, in my opinion, it made for a more dramatic story. That's the only reason Ashley's alive. Every other situation would have seen her dead. I can't stand her.



I respect the decision for those who like her, but if we have the option to recruit her in ME3, I also humbly ask for the option to refuse her. Preferably with an orbital strike.

I would never want to be railroaded into a romance option (coughJACOBcough), so I understand your point of view, but would it be so bad to have Ashley or Kaidan on your squad selection screen, even if you never used them?  I know I had a couple of extremely expendable party members in ME2, and wouldn't have missed them if I had never picked them up at all. 

For those of us who like Ashley and Kaidan, however, having them available as squadmates will make or break ME3 as a conclusion to a trilogy.  Their roles were extremely important in ME1, from Eden Prime to Virmire to Ilos, and we can't imagine ending the game without them. 

And epoch_, I approve wholeheartedly of the gifs you chose for this thread.

Ashley and Kaidan were my two favorite characters in ME1. I want to see them return to their rightful places by Shepard's side in ME3. It doesn't matter if you romanced them or not, both Ash and Kaidan are exceptional characters.



One thing that I loved about them is that they are complete opposites of each other, and if romanced and persuaded, they will reverse roles. It's what makes them so fascinating to me.



Something really pissed me off about their cameos:

They had almost the exact same lines. Yes, they would have both come to the same conclusion about Cerberus, but they wouldn't have said it in the same way. Anyone who played the first game would know this.



I strongly advocate them returning to be squadmates WITHOUT sharing the same lines. I mean, it's two characters and there are going to be two different sets of files for them anyway.

Absolutely. Liara, Ash and Kaidan are three of the few in the galaxy who understand the threat of the Reapers, there's no way they could sit out the final fight, love interest or not!

I found it very odd that when they did an ME1 recap for when you import, it has "Status of Wrex" for whether he died or not, but for Ashley/Kaiden, they are under "Missing In Action" and not "Killed In Action." That bugged the hell out of me, but they are probably keeping the door open, but I hope whoever was killed in ME1 is dead, would be upsetting to know that the choice wasn't a big deal.

Also, how would kaiden/ashley have survived a nuke? Whoever get's left behind is surely dead.
