Either that, or they need to be somewhere where I can go and talk to them - real dialogues, with trees and choices - at any given time in the game. I suggest the bedroom of the Normandy.

I will be incredibly pissed if Bioware doesn't bring them back in a major way. Talk about being lied to, I'm not sure I could continue with Bioware if all this talk is just marketing.
Agreed. Not that 5 minute cameo crap or that 2 minute scene just before you head off to the "final battle" place. If M3 is the final chapter of this saga,this game needs to be epic. I NEED CLOSURE! ;.;
I love my Shepard she needs her Kaidan! *cough* or Thane/Garrus *cough*
err.... >_>

They could have really handled the LI arc of Kaidan/Ashley much better at least. They love you in the first one and they move on because you die. Then you search them out and they blow up in your face because your working for Cerberus???? The letter was weak as well, so they really pushed you to make more sexy time with other people. This might have been a way so that you have to develop your relationships with everyone on the ship, so as to the game not being lopsided right from the beginning. I hope they bring back Ash/Tali/Miranda, now that would be a weird love triangle discussion during ME3.epoch_ wrote...

It would be kinda cruel to those who stay loyal to them in ME2 to leave them out of ME3.
It would be an absolute back stab.

Agreed that the Cerberus thing was a bit weak, but I can understand their complete lack of a role in ME2 if that means that in ME3 they're back in full force.
If they do it right, the Liara, Kaidan, and Ash love story arc could be the best in the trilogy.

I'm crossing fingers that you're right. People seem to be really happy with the character development that Tali and Garrus got in ME2, now it's Ash/Kaidan and Liara's turn. If they keep to their word, the wait will be worth it.

In short, they aren't just going to bring back some Love Interests, and not others. Therefore, its guaranteed they will all return as squad mates to some degree.

Seriously, I agree with everyone else who says that the ME1 LI romance story has great potential going into the third game.

Also, how would kaiden/ashley have survived a nuke? Whoever get's left behind is surely dead.
Meh, that one asari scientist somehow escaped from the nuke. <_< Which my Shepard wasn't to happy about; a random asari, who is continually involved with questionable experimentation, survives a massive explosion while a comrade in arms sucks on a nuke? What? I don't think so.
(For what it's worth, she did have a head start compared to Ash/Kaidan. Doesn't change how I feel though)

I want to see my female/male Shepards with Kaidan/Ashley as squadmates again. I felt so bad leaving Ashley on Virmire in my first playthrough and was so not expecting that! But the romance with Kaidan made up for the heartache and it was very comforting.
Vice-versa, on the romance with Ashley -- some people don't like her but I looked passed that "racist thing" because she was a poem fanatic... a soft side. Beside, you can make her a paragon and see aliens in a different way if you preferred that.
I heart Kaidan and Ashley! So I'd like for them to have a bigger role in ME3, one that'll leave a lasting and memorable impression deep in our hearts so we can look back (or replay, in a gaming sense) on what could be the most cherished moment of two great romances of Mass Effect.
<3 Kaidan/Ashley for the win!
