I hated both Ashley and Kaiden even more than the driving sections in ME1. And I hated the driving sections almost as much as the scanning sections in ME2. I'd only want Kaiden or Ashley back if I could kill them off. That would be the icing on the cake, to kill both of them in one story arc spanning the three games.

I'm 5 months too late, it seems *g* Only finished the game two days ago.

I really miss Kaidan. I really hope he gets to play a decent part in ME3, not just a short appearance, like on Horizon. I liked that scene, though. Made me love him even more. Guy's got principles. Exactly what I liked about him in the first place. I don't like Cerberus myself. I can understand why Kaidan would be mad at Shep.

I romanced Garrus, by second fav character in ME1. Should that have an effect in ME3, I'll simply play it again and stay faithful.

Let's hope BW's not just leading the fans on and will work romance choices into ME3. That would be great.

They can come back, as toilet workers for mess sergeant gardner. I trust him more than I do them... and that is mostly because he is the one feeding me.

I'll put my support in as well. I really hated the treatment Ash and Kaidan got in ME2. It almost felt as if the Devs were encouraging players to cheat on them if they were in a relationship. I'm hoping the payoff will be worth it though.

Although my main Shep romanced Liara, I fully support this. I definitely want Ash back!

I'm throwing in support too. Ashley was and still is my favorite one of the ladies in Mass Effect and it's just annoying having her get such a small cameo appearance for such a huge game in the sequel. Besides none of the others really 'did' anything for me and from where I'm looking at it there is the potential for a great plot resolving romance finisher in Mass Effect 3.

I much prefer the idea of Shepard falling in love, becoming separated from her and then being with her again over the course of the trilogy then I do for the immature fantasy of Shepard being like James Bond crossed with a playboy and sleeping with whatever woman he wants.



So yes, I need Ashley back. It would just complete Mass Effect 3.



And of course, for everyone else who in on the other side of this spectrum we need Kaidan too.

The Virmire Survivors need more screen time in ME3 dammit! The crap ME2 cameo was greatly disappointing. I still do hold on to the hope they will show up in a DLC sometime in the near future.

I want Kaidan to have my back again in the next game! ME2 was technically great, and I enjoyed it, but his absence really made the game feel a little hollow for me.
