Hello,

I imported my Mass Effect 1 character and kept her original face. When I created a new character today, I saw you get to see a 'code' when you create facial features (presumably so people can share/exchange fits). Question is, can I still retrieve the code for my imported character? (whose face I kept). I never go to see a code for her, as I kept her imported appearance.

Thanks!

I might be wrong but if you go to the squad menu up at the top there should be an ID code. I've never played around with them but it does look like the one I saw durring character generation.

No, only newly created faces get the code. Saved(carried over) faces do not get a code. But you can do your best to try to recreate it and then get the code.

That's sad news. :( I had hoped to finally be able to share my Kira. :(

Slider options appear to be the same. If you have the settings from ME1 perhaps do a new character use those and then compare?

If you finish the game with your imported ME1 character and then start a NG+ with that now-ME2 character, you should be able to see a code.

Thanks for the smart-thinking! Sadly, I already tried that: on a second play-through I can, indeed, select what is now an existing ME2 character. Yet, alas, as soon as I go to the facial reconstruction phase (to get the code) ME2 doesn't use the current face as basis any more, but immediately goes to a default one.

You need to load an in game save with your ME1 import  (or start an NG+ with that char). Go to the squad menu and write down the code (top left) on paper, then start a new character. When you get to the face gen just type the code back in manually.

Unfortunately, that code is absent on an imported character. :( Even when it's now a ME2 character on a second play-through. I *do* see the code on a newly created character, though, in the squad menu. So, I guess that means it's really not retrievable. :(

There's actually a save game editor which displays the code.
