I and others have posted for a couple days now, no one has given ANY hint of a solution...

ALL of my OTHER DLC works (Shale, as well as Amazon.com items, CC ring item, etc), and I have access to Bergen's Helmet in the party camp. (the same DLC pack that the Blood Armor came with, no?)

Yet AT NO TIME EVER have I had the Blood Armor!!!

And fearing I might have dl/installed the DLC after I started this character (like that should matter!), I experimented and started a new, quick character (male human noble warrior) and STILL, NO BLOOD ARMOR in the new character's inventory!!!

WHERE THE HELL IS IT?  WHO DO I CONTACT ABOUT THIS?!?

Seriously, why even get pre-paid extra stuff if it's not gonna work?  Think about it.

Thanks for any possible ideas or help!!!

Don't expect to get any official help on this. Bioware and EA ain't much help so far.

It was in the trunk in his bedroom when I started this human noble, not in his inventory.

This is just ridiculous.

There's NO WAY IN HELL I'm doing the TOR lifetime sub now if they offer it. Not if this is how it's gonna be.

Wonder if they even know about the problem?

Well, when I played again as the "Quick Character" (experiment) I didn't go so far as the chest that time...

I've heard people say they've gotten it at numerous places.  I've read:

1.  start immediately with it
2.  in chest (what you said)
3.  buy it at party camp
4.  appeared after DLC install, regardless of where they were

Is it all of these?

Wonder why I couldn't somehow "give" myself the item, using console if need be?  (Maker, I HATE doing that! --feels too much like cheating and utterly ruins immersion)

I started with the breastplate and bought the rest from the dwarf merchant in my camp.

I'm gonna load up another "Quick Player" experiment here, and run through to the Chest in the beginning, and see if it's there.

I doubt it will be.

Will report back later.

THANKS SO FAR FOR RESPONSES!!!

Ok this is how it works, make sure it says its installed in your DLC stuff.. you should get the breast plate automaticly, the rest is sold by Bardon (or something like that) at your party camp after you save him. If the Blood dragon armor isnt in your DLC inside your game you may have not entered the code properly. Make sure it says its installed inside the game.

Yes, it does.

Like I said, I was able to get all other DLC to work properly...   AND Bergen's Helmet is offered at the camp.  (the helmet and the armor are part of the same DLC IIR )

Okay, I'm off to try and temp character.  uggh

From what I have seen it depends which Origin you start with.  I tried a human noble quickly and it was in the chest.  I am currently playing a Dalish Elf and it was on her when I started.  So maybe that helps.

You only get 1 piece of the armor the rest is buyable from the camp vendor.

Not trying to act like your stupid or anything, just going through basic checks... is it enabled in your installed content? cuz i know you can disable stuff.

I loaded the codes about 3-4 hours into the game and it appeared on my inventory magically.

And er... it's Bioware game, everything they made are known to be glitchy and full of bugs. Yet this has been most fun I had in years (MMOs aside). Asking Bioware to make a bug free games is like asking Blizzard to balance their games properly, its never going to happen, something you will have to just accept even if it's not right.

I know, and I appreciate your efforts! :)

OKAY, I JUST RAN ANOTHER QUICK TEMP CHARACTER;  generic Human-Male-Noble Warrior...

...played til the Chest/Bedroom/Attack (Esc key is your friend!)...

...AND STILL NO ARMOR!!!  (every other DLC is there in the chest though; rings, grimoire, boots from Amazon.com)

I tried to go to dragonage.com to report this, but I can't log in; is it the same Username/Password as here? (ie, as the game itself?  --and shouldn't it be if it's not???)

Well, my character is a human-male-noble-warrior and I installed the DLCs after creating a character and I got the armor appear in my inventory magically. My problem though is that I can't get Shale. The map location just refuses to appear. What gives Bioware? I want to try Shale! I get quest complete when I talk to the freakin' merchant. I have to rod but I can't get to the town where Shale is!

It unlocked for me (location on map, thus, ability to travel there and do quest), once I ran into a traveling merchant while traveling on the world-map.  (was somewhere after I already did the Mage's Tower quests IIR)

The location of the map icon unlocked was in the lower left corner of the map. (again, once I get a control rod from that traveling merchant or whatever he was)

Okay, I'm off to play for a few hours, and by few hours, I mean minimum of 14 hours.

a few things to check.
1) does it show in your quest log under DLC (not the downloaded area in the game... is it possible to remove it and redownload it)?
2) make sure it says your logged in when you start (not sure if thats nessary but might help)
3) the dragon armor is NOT part of the regular 3 items you get for collectors, or pre-order codes. It was listed on a seperate sheet for me w/ a bunch of stuff for Mass Effect 2.
4) check the site here, under "profile" and "your registered game promotions"

edit
just saw this page
http://social.biowar.../58/index/81613
try what's listed there.
