Several dogs, several names.  Last Christmas our English bulldog was stolen, so I usually call my hounds BRUISER. 
Those of you lamenting over lack of imagination naming your hounds DOG should know that in most of John Wayne's movies where he had a canine companion the name was DOG!  You're in stellar company!
Actually we have a horse named DOG - named by a 2-yr-old.

If I am playing a mage, I call the dog "Greagoir" (since Knight-Commander Greagoir is the watchdog for the mages it seems appropriate).



Otherwise, I call the dog Winston (which will make sense to you if you have seen the TV show "Terriers").

I called my first characters dog, Rover. It was all i could think of as an appropriate name. In my current game i called him Wolf...no idea why...
