YES I RESPECT your opinion too-thanks for responding
Freedom of speech is a crutch often used beyond the boundaries of other individuals' own.
The distinction between fan and fanatic is important.
Respecting opinions and agreeing with them is also quite different.
Not sure what that last post of yours aimed at demonstrating.
if you do that's you NOT me.

Haha, I feel ya. I am definitely a Tali fan, but every time I see demands for Tali-specific DLC, or the outpourings of fanfic-type-material I do a *facepalm*.BigGuy28 wrote...
As much as I like Tali this thread is disturbing. People like this make me feel ashamed to like Tali.
Seriously. I love Tali's character, she is one of the hilights of the ME series as far as I am concerned. But I kinda wish we could just have a nice, normal 50-page thread about her, like Miranda or Kaiden have. Not a pair of 300-page threads in barely a week. It's just a bit creepy.

We should just agree that there needs to be a dialogue DLC for all characters and LI and that my friends will take awhile to get soley due to the amount of voices. Therefore we should settle for some missions and wait for ME3 which will lets face it be amazing. (unless it just goes FPS on us and shepard solo's the entire game)
that sounds like a Good idea to me,
ALL this "Tali Fan Bashing" is sick-
Fan or Fanatic I don't care what anyone is.
let them be them you can't change anyone but yourself.
We can all agree to disagree with out trying to make others like what we like.

Whats wierd is that for the most part the 300+ page thread has become more of a ME discussion.

Hopefully all of our squad members from ME1 and ME2 return as such in ME3 (assuming they survived).

Turning any of the characters into their personal porn franchise would be a little far, ironically, even though its all a 'video game thing', you'd look like a bit of a dick going after an ingame character just for the sex, if not very very odd.
If they extended the game and the character development due to an actual expansion I can see a point, but romance DLC for DLC sake, that isnt along the or a main part of the storyline would be a bit... odd, and like I said, would probably create bad press. I can see the point in the romance for the general scheme of things and added immersion with characters, but romance for romance sake, no.

/sigh Why is it not surprising that the one LI DLC thread that actually gets a dev to read it is the Tali one?
I like Tali a lot too, even went back and made a single Shep game in ME1 just so I was ready to romance her, but the whole Tali thing has just grown way out of proportion. The Tali fans have ruined the character for me I think.

I never really understood this reaction by people. Is it because you feel that you've associated yourself with those other people somehow simply by liking the character? I just like what I like. Tali's character isn't any less compelling or well-done because of a bunch of raving adolescents, why let them ruin your fun?Nozybidaj wrote...

Stanley. From a fan of Bioware since Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights....just read my opinion and maybe pass it along?
I was thinking a loyalty DLC pack for each available character, much like their loyalty quest. However this would focus in on an important part of their lives! Like Tali's aunt having a problem and Shepard going with her to fix it. Or Garrus maybe having somethign to do with his father. I know it's stupid to ask and suggest, but it's just from my perspective, either way, I will still love this game!

I can understand it, at least for me personally it's just the idea that people can get this fanatical about a character and then somehow feel you could be adding to that madness maybe? That is how I see it.Pauravi wrote...

that is like saying:
"I don't like the way these people like Tali,They suppose to like Tali the way I like Tali"
Who cares how anyone else like tali-it's your game.
play it the way you want to play it and Like it the way you want to like it.
don't worry about what anyone else is doing.

Wait...why and how can some fans ruin your impression of the character? I've never understood this. My feeling about the character hasn't changed simply because I found out that she has a pretty serious and dedicated fan base. Bioware wrote a good character and people like her. That's a testiment of good writing on their part. The only thing that should affect people's impression of the character is if Bioware changes her (or any other character) in some way.

Are you not in control of your own actions? If you don't like the madness, don't add to it. Simple.

Ethos can be determined by where you hang out. If you read forums where people are into cartoon porn, it doesn't speak too well of you.

I'd rather romance the romanceable in ME3.
And I seriously hope threads like this won't make them hire a salarian scientist to create a genophage for us Talimancers.
If they hire Mordin ill lose all respect in him
*shouts over shoulder* How's the Taliphage coming along Mordin?

It would seem strange if there was just a "Romance DLC", if they plan on making a "True" expansion to the game (like they are doing with DA:O) I think it would be a great idea on their part to expand on the romances. (and let us see under the helmet!) lol.
I would damn well guarantee that a "Romance DLC" would be the best selling DLC for ME2.
Okay it might not be for everyone, but those who do want it are quite obessive about it. And romance in BioWare games is pretty popular.
