That seems a...little early.

Damn, they created a whole new engine and readied a game in it in a little over a year? Yeah I believe that.

Could also be another expansion. Only says "Dragon Age Title".

Yeah... I wouldn't put much stock in that to say the least...

I'd be cool with an more expansions actually. Its just that, that story would contradict what the CEO of Bioware has said concerning DA 2.

it's not DLC cuz it would have been marked as such. look, charts

if they can release a 15 hour expansion in a few months then I don't think it's a stretch they could be release on a full game in 14 months

I hope this is not true. We all know the EA policy which is one game a year but this game is not Football Manager. I would be extremely cautious if the game was to be released any earlier than Fall 2012.

I will say it again : this is not a good thing at all. What ever happened to Bioware saying they were planning on massive 2 years worth at least of DLC/Expansion support for Dragon Age? now they are releasing a sequal and we're supposed to forget about Dragon Age cuz u know it will happen. look at Left 4 Dead. same thing.

Erm. As others have said, this is not Bioware's style, but it is EA's style.
A little worrying.

Welcome to the EA world, ME3 has a release date of fall 2011 so I would be surprised if the 2 years worth of dlc/expansion support = we have seen the most support we will, as of now.

Looks like a spinoff. Listed on consoles and handhelds

getting people excited might be a good thing, but i think it's gonna be pushed back the holiday season of 2011.

As long as the final product isn't rushed and contains a great story, coupled with great dialogue that can last me 40+ hours; I'll be satisfied.

They've already said they have two years of content for DA1. So I doubt that is anything but the second expansion.

I doubt it's actually going to be the RPG sequel to Dragon Age: Origins. I expect it will be another kind of game set within the Dragon Age IP.

It's probably the next expansion. January 2011 would be well timed if a full-on sequel could be in the works for Winter 2011/12, which, given ME2's development cycle would not be unreasonable.

I was making another forum for this when you posted it, guess you beat me to it lol.

It's on handhelds too, most likely a spin-off. Dragon Age: Journeys, possibly?

Wasn't DA:O ready for PC in March of 2009, meaning that it was technically finished just needed the extra time for the console versions. That being the case March of 2011 would be two years between games and they have had a full year for Awakening.

I wish more companies would adopt "EA's style." I'm sick of waiting 2-5 years for a sequel to my fav RPGs (felt like forever waiting for ME2).

I would bet that it's not a real sequel...
But a STANDALONE game... set in another country, same engine as DAO with full new campagin and set of characters.
Ray&Greg mentioned that kind of game coming up soon... in sme of the interviews on the net.

Why is everyone getting so huffed-upped about it being "too early?" You don't know how long they could have been working on such and such. Plus, I kinda like it this way; I don't have to wait years
