Why bring it on handhelds? We all know the PC version is going to be far superior to anything else.

That's wonderful news!

Dragon Age 2 shouldn't take anywhere near as long to make now that they have the world and engine built.

The biggest problem is people are invested in this time period of the game and want the content that was said to be coming to the original.

I can't reveal anything, of course. But even the end of the game says there are other stories to tell. Thedas is a big world, so both continuations and new directions are possibilities.

Right now there are alot of questions from the original un answered. It has been said that DA2 most likely wont be sequal off of the original.

I would atleast want a complete story before I move on.

Maybe I'm on drugs, but the EA earnings release seems to target Q4 2011. If that's the case then it does appear that nearly 2 years would elapse between DAO 1 and DAO 2.

I really hope is just some major expansion rather a sequel because only a year after DA:O 1 ? give DA:O some more years and then throw a sequel, although we don't know anything for sure so we just wait and see...............

I wish more companies would adopt "EA's style." I'm sick of waiting 2-5 years for a sequel to my fav RPGs (felt like forever waiting for ME2).

Because these "a game a year" games are horrible games like Madden and stuff, which stays the same every year with just new drafts and better graphics. RPGs have a lot more content and preparation time. Games are going to take longer and longer to make because the higher expectation and more content + technology being used.

Its kinda crazy Iv found atlest 4 other site/reviews saying the same thing about DA:O 2. I sure hope they are worng I really want to see a good 18 more months of DLC/EXP before a rushed sequel.

I could careless about the "hot" graphics. I only care about something little more important..

Like complete story-lines and many more ways to do different things for the ending!

So if they said they would keep the graphic the same and worked on great story-lines, then I'd

be a little more excited. But all they mention is hot graphics. We want a game, not a movie.

Hot graphics will help it sell better.   Whatever works so long as it doesn't impede the rest of the product.

And that's why Final Fantasy 7 and 8 will always be better than Final Fantasy 10.
So please.. No. Hot graphic will sell for a short time. Unlike 10, Final Fantasy 7 sold 10 million copies
in 2009! As for the hot graphic Final Fantasy X only sold 6 million and that was in 2006 and been hardly touched since.

Overall. Stories > Graphic.
Hands down.

I'm going to edge on the side of it being an expansion rather then a full blown sequel, though the hand held thing kind of throws a curveball at that notion. It does seem somewhat early, especially considering that they have so much content "planned" for DA:O. There were quite a bit of subjects left unanswered in Origins and for some reason I have a feeling Awakening is only going to add to that list rather then subtract from it. While Bioware does like to leave a few bits left to the players imagination they generally do a solid job of locking something up before moving on to their next body of work. So this an expansion and the sequel coming out around holiday season of the same year to capitalize on sales.

Guys relax, it's going to be another expansion pack. Look at the time difference between the initial release and first expansion. There may not be an official sequel for at least 3-4 years, if they're following EA's Sims release schedule.

I think its gonna be another expansion pack as well. It makes more sense than making DAO2 and we know Bioware isn't stupid....right?

It can't be DA2...that is too early for a sequal. An expansion pack is more likely.

I also think it's going to be another expansion. And then some spinoff title for the handhelds. Something like Joyrneys possibly. I also read EA saying that their future games are pretty much all going to have multiplayer in them. This makes me wonder if Dragon Age's future also includes multiplayer?

Totally buying it! Hopefully they won't do to it what they did to ME2 though...

Hopefully its only an expansion. If its DA2 I fear EA will ruin everything like they do with the annual release of other games like Fifa, NfS.

I hope it doesn't suck like the ME sequel. Seriously with a high quality game like DA:O it's going to be hard for Bioware to create a sequel just as good. I'm expecting disapiontment +.

if they decide to have DAO2 in 2011 then it better not be disappointing.

Valve's L4D2 came a year after L4D1 was released. fortunately, L4D2 was perfected and well received by the community despite the boycotts. Im not really sure about Bioware's capability when it comes to perfecting their games.

All I know is they gonna keep on pleasing the casual gamers and the console gaming crowd which will result to a more mediocre game.

wtg Bioware. EA's brand new b*tch.

i do hav fiath on bioware...DAO is simply a RPG game, can't juz become so simplified as ME2 did...
