Finishing Mass Effect is quite the bittersweet feeling, I agree. Just imagine how you'll feel after you finish the thrid game. After the last cutscene and the credits roll and the epic ending music starts... and you know you'll probably never again follow the adventures of Shepard and his crew. Bittersweet!

just bitter, but with a glass of pills & a good bottle of whiskey it won't have to end ; )

it's... just... a .... video... game. A great one that is very deep, but still. Life is what you make of it. You don't need to fly around space with aliens for life to be "cool". You can do amazing things.... take skydiving for example. One of the best rushes I've had when it comes to extreme-sports. You can do a lot of fun things and enjoy life..... if anything a video game this deep should give you a better respect for life, even though it's not the reality you know... there's some lessons to be learned and appreciations to set in motion.

It's.....Just....a...joke.... A great joke though' with some truth in it did feel bittersweet but i'l get over it ^^ but i was wondering if others felt the same?

Real life. The real world sucks compared to the worlds we see in video games, movies, books, and even sometimes music. I read in the news about how some people felt slightly depressed after seeing Avatar because the world was so remarkable. I felt the same way. I felt that way even more after playing Mass Effect 2.

Um, just look at space man. Chances are once you die you'll get to experience something new.

Look at it this way ... there's roughly 100 billion stars in the Milky Way. Each of those most likely having planets. As far as Galaxies, the rough estimate is over 500 billion galaxies (which contain 100 billion stars).

Now, think of that and think of what's more likely to happen when you die. You go to some magical place in the sky or burn in some ****ty place; or you could experience life somewhere else. Maybe I'm crazy, but I doubt all those galaxies and stars are out there for no reason. o_O

And that's not even taking into consideration the Multiverse theory.

sounds bettet then heaven dude,

They should ship ME3 with one of those little flashlights from Men in Black. Finnish the game, point the light at yourself and start a new game of ME1...

Watch Avatar. What you felt after finishing ME is just a fraction of what you'll feel when exiting the IMax.

I feel ya... My husband has yet to finish the first game, much less the 2nd one.  So I can't talk about anything around the house <_<

Yeah, it did that for me.

However, being a biology graduate, i was also constantly ranting about the fauna. Why the heck would a 3 meter high armoured, 6legged horse live in the woods? And eat NECTAR?!

Well, it did show that the horses came from the plains originally.

I feel spoiled after playing this, nothing feels the same. Got about 60 different games on steam but doesnt feel like starting a single one of them. All I want to do is play more mass effect. A few more replays and I'm going cold fish on gaming for a while.

Buy tubs of different flavours of Haagen Dazs to eat, that's what I'm doing. I'm currently on the limited edition of Mascarpone, passion fruit and truffles - which tastes really weird.
