Ok i just finished playing the game... and now my life sucks
i'm a student in Denmark, i've got freinds (didn't say a lot so dont troll me) - so basicly before this game i had a life, enjoyed it did some of my homework, played computer - random stuff
-but after i played ME2 i found out my life sucks, i'm not flying around in space with cool, hot & sweet aliens / human-girlthings with 3 fingers&amask shooting geth & mean aliens (who looks alot like the ones from alien)

sorry about the rambling but i was wondering is there any way to cure this empty feeling in my tommy? did you get the same? how did you cure it? any other amazing games out there?

Go watch Avatar and get depressed over not being able to live on Pandora either? :P

Yeah, it did that for me.

However, being a biology graduate, i was also constantly ranting about the fauna. Why the heck would a 3 meter high armoured, 6legged horse live in the woods? And eat NECTAR?!

Well, it did show that the horses came from the plains originally.

Where there's no Nectar.

Anyway, let's talk about Hammerhead-Elephants then

Ha Ha... no I meant more Truth & Justice, Rifts, Traveler (currently modding to the Mass Effect world), and World of Darkness... but sometimes it ends like that too.

Which version of Traveller? And how are you modding it? I'd be interested in what your ideas are.

But seriously, if a game (or a movie in avatars case) makes you feel depressed...there has to be underlying affects...

Watch Avatar. What you felt after finishing ME is just a fraction of what you'll feel when exiting the IMax.

No. I walked out pissed off at James Cameron for missing out on creating a true masterpiece. Shallow one-dimensional characters and villains, tired plot and poor dialogue marr the awesome visual spectacle. Pacing was perfect though, which is rare in movies nowadays.

I like an interview of him where he puts it like this: "With Titanic, i wanted to make a movie about that incredible ship. To be able to do that, i also had to weave a story around it".
Same goes for Avatar. That guy doesn't want to reinvent storytelling, he's doing it for the pictures, mostly.
And as long as the storytelling isn't offensively bad, i'm fine with that. If i want a decent story, i read a book.

yea well thanks alot.. did fall in love - almost got laid ( i got so high i ended falling asleep right next to her)
"on the paper" my life rocks i got friends i don't have girl trouble, i got money clothes & a family that cares.
-others in the thread agreed & said they felt the same way, books movies & games have always had this impact on me, i just get sad at the end its like losing a relative, i think its coursed due to extreme boredom. I'm trying to fix that with a lot of hobbies listening to music smoking weird stuff, & in two years i should be flying to Afghanistan (if the war contenues)

lol this reminds me of the people that got depressed after watching Avatar. This always happens with emotional masterpieces cause they make you realise how much your life sucks by comparision.

Well, one moment, I'm sniping Bloodpack mercenaries and laughing when they light on fire and then launched into the air by one of my squadmate's biotics, and then launched away again by my Concussive Shot...

...and the next moment I'm staring out at the gray upstate New York sky, a few inches of snow, and a graveyard, realizing I have two papers due in the next two days and that I go to college in one of the most depressing places to be in the Winter.

*sigh*

I love my friends and all, but the closest I've gotten to a loyalty mission is walking my girlfriend back to her dorm room.

And let's be honest...even though walking her back does often include an interrupt hug, that's not the same as fighting sentient machines in a space station =/

Edit:

That's hilarious hahaha and a fair point! I'm totally content with the way life is going, school's going well, rum is flowing freely, friends are doing well...

...and then we go see a movie where massive blue creatures with tails can share the minds of the animals who live in their lush native environment, and exist in a state of perfect harmony that we can only dream of. My mind is thusly blown.

OMG! thats what i'm talking about, minus the girlfriend, & i don't live in NY i live in Denmark... in a very small town with a few hundred residents + its minus degrees the last 3 weeks. when i was younger i read Harry potter, lotr artimes fowl & all that. really all it does is giving you short periods of joy in exchange for weeks of grayness.

Is this a joke at the crazy Norwiegian Avatar fans?

If so, lol.

If not...well, don't worry. The real world will hit you again soon, the key is not to hate it no matter how much it tries to make you.

I would say that is a definet possibility. Would it be possible to commit sucide and be reborn as Shepard?

Exactly! Wait, minus degress in celsius? It has been what I consider "warm" for the Winter here for a while lately, which is to say between 20 and 25 degree Fahrenheit (about -7 to -4 degrees celsius). In winter, this weather feels pretty damn comfortable, especially when it has been down to -10 Fahrenheit (-23 celsius)...But Denmark is probably way colder than that :D

Either way, yeah man we're totally on the same page here. The town I live in (Rochester) isn't small, but the college I go to (University of Rochester) is only about 4,000 undergraduate students, which is pretty small, so I am in effect in a pretty small community, stuck in the library staring out at the bleak days haha

I, too, read Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl, which was a definite nice reprieve from the cold winters (although I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio...which gets 60 days of sun per year. Even bleaker than Rochester haha).

...Sorry I got excited that we both live in the same situation haha I'm done delving unnecessarily deeply into my personal life
