When completed the assignment, I have a journal entry to the effect of "Wrex'll be
happy he got the armor back, though no doubt he'd have liked to have
killed Tonn Actus himself."
Now, obviously I brought Wrex along.
And I even went to the trouble of letting him singlehandedly whittle
away at Tonn Actus and kill him all by himself. But to no avail-- I still receive this log entry. So is
this just what is supposed to occur, the message I've been getting?
Wrex's Family Armor, question about a bug maybe.

You did the mission and he got the armor I would not worry about it. As long as he got the armor you are good.

Maybe Tonn Actus died of a heart attack during the fight before Wrex had a chance to kill him.
