SO if youll rember i posted about the superman eater egg well it turns out to have a use if you take the metor to warnds keep crafter he turns it ino starfang swoard of the stars for you this sword is amazing it glows and has a star map pattren on it

Where do u encounter the meteor?

I found it on the way to shale at first it seem liked a harmless Easter egg i walked into the crater and picked it up thought nothing of it till now it easily has to be the best sword in game 3 enchament slots tons of stat bonuses etc to be more clear it was one of those random encounters you get some times accept it was a cut scene about a man and a woman finding a baby in a crater

The stoic blacksmith Mikhad Dryden crafted this preless weapon out of a metal that came from the hevans the world has possibly never seen its like or ever will again

Using it as my main with 3 runes on my rogue. Best weapon so far and I dont see myself changing it.



I hit the random encounter at the imperial highway just off the soldier's peak 'intersection'.



It had a 31 str requirement though so i had to wait a few levels, lol

I found mine after i left lotherin (sp) and was headed to shale dlc when i got it seems it can be at random points

Where is the smith?  I talked to Levi Dryden but i cant find his brother:( (I also have the ore with me) ...
I suspect a bug cause all of a sudden Levi repositions himself..
When I ask Levi to see his goods he answers "Certainly" but  NOTHING  happens

My Champzerker noble is wielding Starfang right now, and kicking the darkspawn's ass all the way back to the Deep Roads. She's well on her way to becoming queen, and it doesn't do for the future queen of Ferelden to have anything less than the best sparkly blue pretty space sword!

I actually heard that the Keening Blade, from Gaxkang, is even better, though.

Yeah, it is an amazing weapon. My friend got the encounter while he was lvl. 6, so he's already dominating everything he encounters. I give it to Sten...and that was a great decision.

Starfang (greatsword version) is the one weapon that tempted me to not use the Spellweaver sword on my arcane warrior. Three enchant runes, nice attack bonus and extremely high base damage make it scary overall.

I went for longsword, but now I wished I picked greatsword. Also got it when I went towards Shale's DLC area.

You can specify whether you want the ore forged into a longsword or greatsword beforehand...

You can ask him for a long sword or great sword (2H) in the dialogue choices.

Dual Weilding Starfanf and Keening Blade as a DW warrior is absolutly kick ass

Nice blade but i would have preffered a simpler more normal looking blade that the current shape, it is a minor issue, and a matter of preference. I used the 2h version for my noble warrior and she stomped anything, poor Allister had a hellva time keeping aggro even with threat active and a taunt. Hits like a ton of bricks dropped from space.

I would've liked an option to make a pair of daggers or something like that, so the dex/rogues aren't left in the dust. I mean.. I only care about the dagger option, but taken to the logical limit - a starmetal longsword, greatsword, 2x daggers, bow, and maybe a staff would seem to add all the weapon options.



I hope the other DLC provides some uber dagger options.
