Hi there,

As some of you know, in ME garrus' face texture is rendered in low resolution. Then a texmod fix appeared. What I did was just updating this fix using ME2 garrus' face texture as it is exactly the same pattern.
Take a look at the result (open the picture in another window to have a close view):

Here's the fix.

Finally enjoy Garrus' face

Use it with texmod.

Open Texmod, Click on the folder icon and select MassEffect.exe.
Below you have to select a package, click on the smaller folder icon then select my file then click Run.

Some antivirus detect a trojan, that's a false positive.

I'm not sure if it's just me but I noticed that using texmod with this game will disable all Anti-Aliasing. Is there a way to keep AA enabled? I'm trying to force it through my vid card control panel obviously.

Well I have an ATI card so Im using CCC and ATI Tray Tools as well. I'm using the steam version of ME if that matters. Is there an updated version of Texmod? The only version I can find is the beta version dated 4-19-06

Ok I got it to work now. I just had to change the name of texmod.exe to MassEffect.exe and put it in the binaries folder and change the default MassEffect.exe to UT3.exe or Bioshock.exe. I don't think you need to change the name if its a non-steam version though. Garrus looks sooooo much better now.

Wow, I had been trying to find a way to have this work in steam for a while... And you just posted one. Thanks, will try that tonight.

There's no need to bump this thread because it's ME1 related and we have a ME1 board now. I think it's best to keep posting in this thread in the ME1 forum: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/131/index/1495506

There's also no need to post a link to this thread in the correct one.
