could you guys give me some ideas on my infiltrator insanity build? Also, i havent the slightest clue for a bonus power. For my first playthrough i had warp ammo, and im thinking another ammo power would be best and i keep hearing a lot about AP ammo. Is that a good bonus power for infiltrators?

Thanks

anyone? im leaning towards warp ammo appose to AP ammo because AP ammo only does damage to armor and health, while on insanity, most enemies have shields and or barriers.

Does anyone else have a good idea for my bonus talent? I also heard geth shield boost is pretty good as well. Oh and if i do pick an ammo type, do you guys think the squad or heavy option is better?

Heavy option is better. Warp Ammo is useful on some missions, but I'd change the power to one of the defense boosts whenever I did select missions on Insanity on my Infiltrator.

Typically, this was my build.
Heavy Disruptor Ammo - 4
Assassination Cloak - 4
Heavy Incinerate - 4
Assassin - 4
Heavy Warp Ammo/Heavy Energy Drain/Heavy Geth Shield Boost - 4

I didn't bother with Improved Geth Shield Boost, but it's also a possibility.

a defensive power like geth shield helps when getting out of sticky situations only for a short period though. but considering u are a infiltrator u already have cloak so probably armour piercing ammo.

10% headshot damage helm, 10% extra ammo arm/hand armor.. those are the required Infiltrator armor in my opinion, everything else can be more personal preference.

Disruptor = 4/4 - heavy
cloak = 4/4 - assassination
Incinerate = 4/4 - heavy
Warp ammo = 4/4-heavy
Operative = 4/4 - agent

People say Geth shield, but the biggest drawback is how it puts your cloak + incinerate on cooldown, and it still wont outmatch Warp ammo's damage bonus. As an Infiltrator you should very rarely take damage to your health, the class is built on using cover, so when you take damage and your shield drops, you can stay hidden till it recharges. Add in the ability to cloak, and you can freely run to any point that has better cover within the 6 second duration. I firmly believe once you have a Widow it will become your favorite weapon for those situations you feel overwhelmed, 3 quick headshots will drop 3 Collectors in 1 shot, or literally to 5% (usually when your cloak is on cooldown, which will happen).

I say Agent because of how often you use Incinerate, which is a lot since EVERYTHING will have armor. Normal enemies will usually have the difference of, shield/health - barrier/health - armor/health, more elite enemies will have multiple defenses. So that means those annoying Husks that come wave after wave will all have armor, its my personal most annoying enemy in the game as an Infiltrator, altho it was a quick way to get the "kill an enemy after being knocked back by a melee attack" achievement :P

Incinerate is such a great damage ability for anything with health/armor and stops any health regen. Its also so uniquely awesome for an Infiltrator, since you can literally curve your Incinerate to hit enemies around objects, also conserving ammo.

I'm up to the final mission on Insanity, so far its worked very well for me.

I'd take skills in this order:

Incenerate 4/4 - Heavy

Operative 4/4 - Assassin

Tactical Cloak 4/4 - Assassin Cloak

Armor Piercing Ammo 4/4 - Tungsten Rounds

Disruptor Ammo 4/4 - Heavy Disruptor.

Early on, spam incinerate while using the sniper rifle.

At higher levels, when you get the widow, use tactical cloak on tough enemies, but alternate non-cloaked sniper shots and incinerate on regular enemies.

Always take Miranda with you. I find Garrus to be a good second squadmate for Overload. Or you could take Thane for Heavy warp if you're fighting Collectors.

How about

Incinerate 4/4 - Heavy

Operative 4/4 - Assassin

Tactical Cloak 4/4 - Assassin Cloak

Disruptor Ammo 4/4 - Heavy

Reave 4/4 - Heavy

Then just get squad Armor Piercing ammo with Garrus. Also good for overloading. Maybe Miranda for squad bonus?

Grunt is good when going against a lot of Husks, his charge can save me so much ammo :P Legion is good when you pick up his own Widow, I also get a good laugh listening to him call me "Commander Shepard!" :P

Its also usually good to use a character with a biotic ability, adds insult to injury with Warp ammo.

I use up all my cooldowns on Incinerate and Tactical Cloak. Reave would probably be a loss of dps.

It would, getting anything that requires your power cooldown will usually end up being a loss of DPS, which is whats so nice about getting another ammo type. I really cant see much choice other than between AP or Warp ammo, as they both strengthen the weakest part of a Infiltrators weapon damage (barriers/armor).
