I propose we eliminate the following words/ phrases from common usage here:
1)Troll- once used to indicate a poster who's only purpose was to provoke an emotional response, now a term used to label anyone that presents an opinion not 100% in agreement with your own.
2) QQ- intended to graphically demonstrate tears falling from two eyes. Used to indicate that the indicated poster is "crying."
3) Fanboy-used originally to indicate a fan who's love for game/ music/ movie/ whatever blinds him to all legitimate criticism. Now used to label anyone who expresses any support whatsoever for a title.
4) Hater- Originally used to indicate someone expressing irrational and inaccurate opinions about a title. Now used to attack anyone with ANY criticism, legitimate or not.
5) Whine-see "hater" above
6) Epic Fail- should be banned simply for overuse. Trite.
7) This (following quoted post)- used as a substitute for posting original ideas.
8) butthurt (this may be the most pathetic expression of all)- insulting term used to describe anyone expressing concerns/ criticisms that you do not agree with.
9) Moar... (stupid misspelling is stupid)- kids in college today are having to take remedial spelling because of STUPID colloquial misspellings in common usage. Words like this just make you look like an idiot. Just stop.
10) "Obvious Troll is Obvious" or any variation on this phrase.- was cute the first 15 times we heard it. No longer cute or clever.
11) STFU or GTFO- these are just rude and have no place in civil discussion.
These expressions serve only to make the poster sound like a 9 yo child and start flame wars.
