I'm hoping it's some kind of major bridging DLC to lead us into ME3. It was talked about for ME1 and never came to be, but with ME2's open-ended gameplay option it could easily be done for ME2. Fingers crossed.

I'm guessing either ME3 (doubtful, but I hope), a ME MMO (mixed feelings) or a ME adaptation, either movie or tv series of some kind

far too early (i hope) for me3, but a major expansion would be epic!

I really hope its an expansion. I'd hate for ME3 to be released so early it would feel rushed. I want the game to look crisp and beautfil, I want it clean why the hell does Bioware have all the resources from EA and yet they have so many bugs and glitches?

I prefer a 2-3 year release I want them to take all the time to make Mass Effect 3 as amazing as they can.

I think it's either going to be a spin-off or a Mass Effect 2 expansion and we'll get Mass Effect 3 sometime early 2012.

Im in a bad mood today so...

probably another iPhone game.... or iPad game! BW have problem delivering things on time when they announce them 1 month before release, so lets see if their long time predictions are more accurate.

They probably rename the series: Mass Effect 2011, Mass Effect 2012...

(bad mood today as well)

It's likely they worked on both titles during ME2's development. So who know's could be quite possible honestly.

Expansion, followed by ME3 in several month is the most likely version. Awakening (for Dragon Age) didn't take fourth months to develop, more like an year - Origins was finished since late spring 2009 and was delayed for console ports. It's entirely possible that two teams worked in parallel, one on the porting, the other on future content (DLC, expansion etc.). And I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the Mass Effect team also split into several groups, one to polish up ME2 before release, the other to develop DLC and finally (probably thee writers and concept artists) started work on ME3. That was in late December...

Console Ports, like PC ports, are generally issued out to other companies to do.

Well I hope a large expansion for ME2. Maybe something with the Rachni. Or a mission to rally races together. They'll need a pretty big fleet to be able to stop the reaper fleet in Me3

Or...... A mission on Earth!!!!

It could be something far reaching in the future, or far reaching in the player population.

If I have 3 guesses, I'll pick the following:

- New platforms (iPad, PS3?)

- A bridge to ME3

- Multiplayer

Definitely not an MMO. If it were to actually happen in 2011, we would have heard about it already. Unless Shepard happens to find a portal to the Star Wars universe, that will allow you to import your ME character into SWTOR :)

Either an expansion or a spin-off game in the Mass Effect setting. They've stated numerous times that Mass Effect 3 will only end Shepard's story in the Mass Effect Universe... clearly there will be other games within the setting.. it's a very successful franchise / setting.

It could very well be Mass Effect 3... I mean, it's not like they just started working on #3 yesterday or something. They've probably been working on it for a while now.

I'm guessing Unreal Tournament comes to ME. Basically the ME1 DLC with real opponents.

BioWare should to take a long walk in park, breath some fresh air, and work on REAL sequel to ME1.
No more rushed out spin off.

Ugh. Mass Effect 2 was a real sequel, like it or not. Theres no going back.

Anyway, my best guess would be an expansion or big dlc.

ME2, as a game is pretty good, as a sequel is pretty forgetable

Ok. Since you know better, go ahead and beat Bioware.

Looking forward to your space trilogy.

Oh wait, you're just running your mouth. Sorry, how could I not notice that!

"Far reaching" implies a new product line, perhaps a television series on SciFi (sorry, but "Syfy is just a dumb name) or a motion picture. BioWare is already working on the Star Wars MMO, so until that has been released and has a year or two under its belt, there will not be another BioWare MMO in development.

Personally, I think a series on a cable network (SciFi or Starz, for example) would be fantastic.

I hope it's not ME 3. For them to get it out that soon, would have to imply they think they nailed the formula with ME 2 and are planning to make few changes going to ME 3.

I think even the most casual perusal of these boards will show that most think that while ME 2 was a very good game, it could certainly stand some improvements in ME 3.

Probably a third-party developer game leading up towards ME3, I would suspect from the wording.
