I am gearing up for the final assault on the Collectors and want to re-spec . What are some good soldier builds?

For the final mission you'll want maxed concussion shot for taking out barriers and hardened adrenaline rush. Also, take Armour Piercing ammo as a bonus talent as there are a lot of scions and harbingers.

Which is better the AoE concussive or the Heavy version?

IMO going heavy helps out a lot more than AoE. Use it to initiate and quickly pick off 1 target at a time. Hardened adrenaline rush is a necessity, it makes putting down harbingers pretty simple. I actually find the incendiary ammo the most helpful ammo type on the suicide mission, but that's going to be up to personal taste.

I actually only went level 2 Concussion Shot, as I never had problems with barriers, as I typically roll with Garrus and Grunt. Even without using Concussion Shot I'd rip through barriers easily with the Revenant AR with and Hardened Adrenaline Rush. My build was:
Adrenaline Rush 4 - Hardened
Concussion Shot - 2
Disruptor Ammo - 3
Incendiary Ammo - 4 - Inferno Ammo
Cryo Ammo - 0
Soldier - 4 "Shock Trooper" (forget precisely what it's called, but I went for more health and Renegade bonuses)
Geth Shield Boost - 4 - Improved Geth Shield Boost
So, like I said, barriers weren't much of an impediment for me, so Concussion Shot I went light on. I took a decent amount of Disruptor Ammo for dealing with Mechs and occasionally with shields. After I got the Revenant AR, about the only thing I needed Disruptor Ammo to deal with shields on was Ymir Mechs (this was on Hardcore, haven't tackled Insanity yet).
I knew I wanted Improved Geth Shield boost, for some more survivability and damage, so that left me with Incendiary or Cryo ammo to play with. Armour is pretty abundant, and swarms of Husks supported by Scions are actually a pain in the nuts when you can't just Shockwave the crap out of them. That's where Inferno Ammo comes in. AoE damage bullets fired from the Revenant are amazing for clearing out a room of Husks, or tearing down a Scion in no time. I tend to pulse and switch targets fairly often, both to give the damage over time component of Inferno Ammo a chance to do its thing and because I'm most concerned with removing enemies' armour, and can rely to a certain extent on my squad to finish them off.
With the above build, maxed out upgrades, and Garrus and Grunt at my side I rolled through the suicide mission with zero casualties and no deaths on my part (though Garrus did get knocked down a time or two).
