Just to give you guys a quick update, my virus scanner (Kaspersky and several other unrelated
programs are causing my machine to reboot. This began only after I tried to install
the toolset. Looks like this little "problem" has done more damage than expected.

Looks like I'm going to have to reinstall windows just to be completely safe.

I'll be sure the Dragon Age CD along with my faith in Bioware makes it's way to
the trash can. If you decide to get the Toolset, please be aware that there's the potential
for some serious windows issues.

Go back to your mom's basement, drama queen..

We do not tolerate flaming for the sake of flaming InsaneMod.  If you have issues with another poster, report it to a moderator.  Again, for everyone here, flaming/trolling is not tolerated.

As for malvorian, you've been consistently antagonstic in virtually all of your posts both here and in the older forums.  I'm sorry you seen to be having as many problems as you are, but without detailed information about what programs are causing reboots, there's really nothing we can do.

The toolset likely, as part of the installation process, is installing some updated libraries (windows libs) that are in use by other applications which can indeed cause some unintended behaviour.  I would suggest you go to the tech support forum where folks that more about such things can likely help you out.

Until we have more reports from folks experiencing the same issues as you however, it becomes more difficult to track these down, so the more we can get those reports into the tech support forum, the better chance of those issues being addressed.

Thanks.

Have you tried what others have suggested and clear all your cookies for the social.bioware.com site, restarted your browser, and logged in to see if that fixes the problem?

There's been some reworking of how the site reads cookies and it didn't clean things up properly, so a lot of folks have been seeing this problem.

Not one person in the beta over many many toolset installs had this problem.  Not one.

Yep.  Sounds like a virus was already there and something during the installation aggrivated it.  Quite possibly SQL, since it installs a service.

Hard to tell with all the hate being thrown instead of actual troubleshooting.

So...

Is it supposed to just lock up when it gets to ...

Execute: regsvr32.exe /s "D:\\\\Games\\\\Dragon Age\\\\tools\\\\Engine.dll"

The toolkit is the only reason I bought the PC version so it better bloody work.

Same exact error I get.  Bummer.

How did you fix it?  I've cleared cookies, tried everything, just get the "you must login" to access the toolset wiki...
