Anyone else find the decision to allow the council to die and then say it was your plan to get them killed a LITTLE more than just renegade but kind of...evil?

evil is not an option in mass effect, im not against letting the council die, just taking credit for killing them

I prefer the term, morally defficient.  Yes the decision is "evil" but so are a lot of other Renegade choices.  Genocide, mass homocide, ratting out an undercover cop, the list does go on.  Renegade isn't about good and evil though it's about doing whatever it takes to get the job done.  The job in this case being to usher in the reign of Emperor Donnel Palpatine Udina.  I really should try that option once just to see how it plays out in ME2, I've not been able to bring myself to do it yet mostly because I can't put aside my desire to put a bullet in Udina's head on any of the numerous occasions he has his back to me.

Hmmm.  Bioware idea for ME3 at the end of the game Shepard's given a hero's welcome at the Citadel and the Council offers him his choice of reward.  Their offer would go along the lines of, "The Galaxy owes you a great debt Shepard, one we could not hope to adequately repay but whatever you want it's yours.  Just name it, anything."

Shepard is then given the Renegade choice of "Anything?" selecting that Shepard grins and shoots Udina in the face saying, "That;ll do"

Yes I realize my hate for a fictional character is going a bit far, no I can't explain why I hate him so much.

Really disappointed that this ends up being the default if you start a new character, plus it was downplayed should had been able to bust up there in that fancy tower of theirs to give them some enlightnment.

Well, he's a smug, arrogant, ambitious little weasel of a man who seems to be doing his job only because he likes the feeling of self-importance he gets from his position. I might not go so far as to shoot him in the face, but I'd definitely "hint" to Councilman Anderson that Udina should be relieved of his position and sent home.

"After all, Ambassador... Now that we've got a human on the Council we don't really need an Ambassador anymore, do we?" *feigns friendly smile at Udina*
