I just discoveredwhat the advance training does and I think it's pretty cool because you can do a lot more with a character like if you have a soldier you don't get biotic powers unless you do advance training. Well anyways with so many points to go around and being able to pick extra powers I was wondering which ones would be best ones? I picked up slam for my soldier and while its cool and all not too often are you fighting one enemy so I kinda feel like it was a waste because I use adrenaline rush a lot...ohh well live and let learn. I just maxed out my incendiary ammo and I was looking at warp ammo and that looks cool too...but cryo seems pretty decent as well. I guess which ammo is the best to have.....the most bang for your buck?

Good options for each class:

Soldier - Armor-piercing Ammo, Warp Ammo, Barrier, Geth Shield Boost, Fortification, Reave
Sentinel - Warp Ammo, Reave
Vanguard - Armor Piercing Ammo, Warp Ammo, Reave, Barrier
Adept - Energy Drain, Warp Ammo, Barrier
Infiltrator - Armor-piercing Ammo, Warp Ammo
Engineer - Reave, Dominate for lulz

I think that was what you were asking. Kinda hard to tell.

I guess what I am saying is which ammo is the best to get....AP, Cryo, incendiary, or warp? Also

is there anyway to undo my pick of slam and pick something else instead? Or did I just waste some element zero?

You get it from doing Jacks loyalty mission and than use advance training to pick up that power.

There is another research that allows you to respecc your Talens as Shepard. It should be unlocking about the same time as the Advanced training.

And whats the best ammo? Well that depends on 3 things:

1) What difficulty
2) Which enemies
3) Which weapon

If you play on higher diffulties most enemies have some kind of shield. Warpammo seems to be the best choise there.
If you play normal or fight alot enemies without protection i'd go with AP.

Also my Infiltrator does use Disruptive Ammo and AP Ammo... i am using the AP Ammo on the SMG, while i use the disruptive on the Heavy Pistol. SMG has a weak Armor damage, so adding AP ammo to it makes it a nice addition. Heavy Pistol on the other side is weak for shields so using an disruptive ammo on that one works nice. And when your in a Mission facing some Tough Armored or Shielded enemy.. simply exchange it. Using AP on the Sniper or Heavy Pistol makes it pack a real punch against Armor tanks. Same works with SMG with Disruptive Ammo vs Shielded enemies.

On my Adept i used Warp Ammo for the Assault Rifle spec.

The only Ammo type i haven't found much use for yet is Cryo, but it seems Sentinel classes love them. Cryo can also save your butt vs Husks as Infiltrator, but it doesn't seem to be worth the points (then again, i never maxed it out, maybe i would be surprised). I only played with Cryo ammo on normal difficulty and there its nice to stop enemies a few hits can freeze them, but it just seems like a waste to me. So i didn't pick it up afterall.

This play through (my first) I am playing normal and my next time through I will try the next step up.

As for the other thing I have one that lets me redo my points, I dont know if it lets me change that extra power that I picked or not, I'll have to try and see.

As far as which ammo is best, that's definitely open to debate.  AP and Incendiary are probably going to be the two most common answers, as they both rip through likely the most common defense in the game.  I'm a fan of Incendiary Ammo (evolved to Inferno Ammo), as the AoE component plus the Revenant AR is amazing.

Warp Ammo is good against everything, but I found that I ripped through Shields and Barriers quickly enough that I didn't need specialized ammo for them.

Cryo Ammo I little experience with, but since I don't believe it freezes at all unless their Shields/Armor/Barrier is down, it seems like a poor choice (though some espouse maxing it out, getting the squad version of it, and then pouring points into AP Ammo for personal use.  Sounds like a ton of points to waste on Ammo powers, but to each his own).

And that's the issue, I don't want to drop a grip of points of like 3 different kinds of ammo, I suppose having two kinds that I can switch threw is a good idea. Sounds like the Incendiary and AP are the two best kinds in the game and I should max out both of them.

Why does Sentinel need Reave? Don't we already have Warp?

Seems a little backwards.. I mean unless changing weapons is too time consuming, it would be be better to put disruptor ammo on the SMG to give yourself the ultimate shield stripping weapon (a few bursts), then switch over to the Heavy Pistol with AP to deal with the final armor and health.

Its better to build on the synergy the weapons and ammo provide for the best use of damage - then it would to make each weapon "average" across the board.
