He fled to the Free Marches and then to Orlais, where he tried to drown his sorrow, bitterness and anger with brandy. That worked about as well as you'd expect. Now, almost three years after the Landsmeet, it seems he has a chance to regain a sense of purpose and reclaim something of his life, but it's a murky sort of chance, to say the least. And Alistair isn't exactly feeling trusting.
