Your best idea for a custom class.

The rules are simple: post your idea for what you think would be the best custom class, that is any skills of your choosing up to 5 skills.  You can use any number of bonus skills, class specific skills, etc. just no more than 5 skills.

Mine would be:
Adrenaline Rush
Energy Drain
Tech Armor
Cloak
Warp

I think it would be really fun to have Tech armor on, cloak, run up behind a few enemies and adrenaline shotgun as much as I can before I run/cloak outta there. :P  Granted would not be the best on insanity, but damn it would be fun!  Energy Drain/Warp would just give me some extra range damage for shields and armor/barrier, not to mention the energy drain bonus shields might help me get outta a tight situation from my kamikazi tactics. :P

I'm very curious to hear other's opnions!  I doesn't have to be the most powerful, it can be the most fun, etc.

Defender



Catch the enemies in a singularity and strip away their defenses so that they get the blue lifty thing going. Finish them off with the warp ammo damage bonus. Tech Armor makes everything hurt more. Defender for fastest power recharge (why they get faster recharge than Adepts is beyond me).

Yea. I figure with the anti shield disruptor ammo and energy drain and the anti armor incinerate, you'd have plenty of opportunites to lay down a shockwave and have people fly. Plus shockwave sounds like a tech move.

is having that many ammos really that helpfull? i dont notice a difference from my infiltrator with disruptor, to my sentinel with armor peirc. i thinks its good to have some debuffs. whats better ammo mods or reave/warp/overload?

Tech Armor plus Charge because it would restore your tech armor, and if they shotguned your shields fast enough you'd Tactician off yourself.

(but in all seriousness lol@thread and custom class idea)

I've always wondered why they didn't just go the formulaic route and create an Infiltrator with Biotics instead of Tech, and a Vanguard with Tech instead of Biotics, just to round everything out.

Isn't a Vanguard an Infiltrator with Biotics and vice versa?

I would take an infiltrator/sentinal hybrid, with a touch of vanguard thrown in.



Weapons : Sniper, SMG

class Power: Cloak

Tech Powers: Incinerate, Inferno Ammo

Biotic Powers: Shockwave

Bonus Power: Dominate



BTW Dominate is one of the best powers in the game. Hit a vorcha pyro or boom-squad that is behind his buddies with it and watch the hilarity ensue. Hit an abomination in the middle of a pack of husk with it and BOOM! Knock the barrier down from a collector sniper and watch it fry a Harbinger in the rear instantly. HA HA I can do it too MF!!! Just my opinon though.

A Vanguard is like the opposite of an Infiltrator, but with Biotics. I'm talking basically the same weapons/playstyle - Sniper Rifle/SMGs, and biotics.

Its a difference more like that between a Vanguard and an Adept, but its still a gap in the classes that has never made much sense to me.

Weapons: Heavy Pistol, SMG, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle

Warp Ammo
Adrenaline Rush

Combat Drone, AI Hacking, and Dominate are to get enemies out of cover and not shooting at you for sustained periods of time. Warp Ammo and Adrenaline Rush are to maximize the damage you do during those periods.

The only problem with this is that there would be a little bit of cooldown backup with this. But this would go away with research. Fully researched, Adrenaline Rush will basically recharge in 2 seconds, but last 6. Dominate/AI Hack will have like a 4 second cooldown fully researched. You can cast Adrenaline Rush, then Dominate, and then renew Adrenaline Rush right as it ends because dominate will have cooled down by then.

The Sniper Rifle is just to use Combat Drone + Adrenaline Rushed Sniper. Apparently Adrenaline Rush multiples damage by 2. Thus, you can use Adrenaline Rush, then Combat Drone someone out of cover, and have about 1.5 seconds to headshot them for higher damage than an Infiltrator could do.

Not exactly.

Vanguards are meant to be a cross between soldier and adept. Infiltrators are meant to be a cross between soldier and engineer.

However, they have their own identity as well. Vanguards are the close combat class, while Infiltrators are the long range combat class.
