I want to disable Depth of Field, however the only way I can find out how to do this is by disabling the Framebuffer effects. Well, the downside of that is that it also disables a bunch of other nice effects (lighting, etc) which adveresly affects the visual quality of this great game. Inspection of the .ini files yielded no success. Any suggestions then (Bioware maybe)?

Thank you!

The game is in dire need of more options for graphical adjustment. Hopefully Bioware can patch this in at some point.

Personally, I'd like a way to disable shadows without setting the GFX to "Low".

I agree, an option to adjust it would be highly desirable! I was hoping for an official answer by now!

2 little things in an advanced display menu:

1. shadows (off,low,med,high or at least on-off)

2. dof (on/off)

Come on, Bioware/EA, Mass Effect had those. Helps us, we begs :)

Completly agree, an "advanced options" button would be nice

Check the .ini anyways, you'll find that it's actually nice to keep frame-buffer effects on, as there is a way to smooth the pixelation occurring by enabling trilinear filtering (just put a '1' instead of 0 in the corresponding line) and that will make your experience far more appealing.
Works for me, might not for you and if that's the case I can't help you.

I saw Mythrantar had now luck with the ini after my previous post, and I was unable to edit the post again. Anyway, trilinear filtering was disabled by default for me even though I max the settings in-game. I think you have to force it on, the same goes for anisotropic, but it seems to improve the visuals greatly.
