Unfortunately.
He does think of the femMage as being at fault. He thinks it's her fault that he's attracted to her. Godsalmighty, I do hope that girls will stay away from types like him in RL.

I understand that it's fantasy and all, but eeek! Especially when two situations (Zevran and Cullen) that are so different are looked at the same.

Women always get blamed especially for being a homewrecker.

Ya know, since you brought TV Tropes into it. This http://tvtropes.org/...Main/TheOphelia pretty much fits Cullen, if you make allowances for the wrong sex.

Cullen is crazy. He is also a drug addict and religious zealot. Goodness gracious, step away from him. He's poison, and he'll slay your mage girl in a heartbeat. Pick the non-groveling answers after the Harrowing, and you can tell. He would have killed her. Without a second thought.
But he would have felt bad about it . . .

Is anyone else out there pro-Cullen?
The stalker quota is already filled by Leli. I would rather go with Sweeney, he doesn't care about looks, all look the same to him.

So, as (physically) cute as he is... No. Religious zealots aren't cute. Or cuddly. He'd give you a hug... And then throw your dead body into a lake.
Edit: Fix'd for clarity.

So before Broken Circle and blood mage torture, yes. Possible chance the whole thing can be resolved. Afterwards......hell no.

cullens mage start is the same way - his heart isnt into killing mages he does it because he has to and he was told to - no different than zevan being told to kill certian people by the crows. also cullen is killing blood mages and abominations not innocents so in theory zevan is the same. i see them as similar also zevan overcame killing ricca and being betrayed i bet cullen could as well. i still think he could be a valid option and i still say the crazy part is what we all face. all the companions have something in their past they have to face and overcome and cullen would be no different.
There is a key differance between Zevran and Cullen that you aren't mentioning, though: Hatred.
Zevran feels no hatred for his victems. He kills out of necessity (What would the crows do with him if he stopped?)
Cullen has a burning unthinking hatred for mages (at least after the Tower). That kind of hatred can't be reasoned with. It can't be persuaded or "loved" away. That kind of hatred is only in an unballenced mind. And such minds are irredeamable.
Zevran may not be a very moral person, and I'd check my food and drink around him, but he can be reasoned with.

LOL! Too bad in game they didn't put sparkle VFX on him. That would have been hilarious....and REALLY creepy.
My mage wouldn't have minded some quick, meaningless sexy time with him in the origin, even if he did creep ehr out and make her nervous. It would have been a personal victory, "corrupting the templar" and reliev a bit of frustration,. especially since Jowam decided to "caboodle" with that fat cow Chantry sister.
But after the circle quest? Hell no...if anything after experiencing THAT, she's never going anywhere near the tower without Alistair, and is keeping a crushing prison spell at all times. And at the end of the game, i can only hope that, out of gratitutde, that Irving will warn her when Cullen flips out and escapes, so she can at least be alert should he decide to show up sometime and resolve their..ehh..lack of a relationship.
I could totally see him becoming a mage's nightmare version of Ted Bundy or something.

Considering Ted Bundy used his looks to do what he did, I agree.

But if Cullen is honestly what floats your boat, might I recommend a whole industry of teenage softcore vampire porn devoted to this particular brand of crazy? XD
