Romance in Mass Effect 3 - How would you like it to be handled?

Personally, I would like some sort of romance conclusion. Marriage or living together, or something to that effect.

Seeing as this is the last game of trilogy.  Bioware did do something like that in Dragon Age: Origins, but the marriage with Alistair was bittersweet if I'm not mistaken. Mods could that fix problem somewhat in DA:O, but Mass Effect is largely unmoddable.

If nothing else, some sort of powerful imagery, like Shepard and whomever watching the sunset.

Assuming you romanced someone in ME1 and a different person in 2....I think only the future version of Jerry Springer can properly resolve the situation.

Actually, that could potentially be a hilarious scene.

Yea, the developers hinted towards something like this. Specifically, that "cheating" on your love interest will have consequences on the relationship in Mass Effect 3. So I assume that the ME1 love interests will find out on their own somehow...exciting.

It'd be nice if the LIs would actually say the magical three words.

1. It'd be nice if they finally say I love you

2. If they could find out more about your background

3. Maybe visiting their home world or childhood home

I'd like some kind of rewarding epilogue telling the player what Shepard and his LI did after the end. I assume that's what we'll be getting.

Ashley does, well, in past tense anyway. On horizon she says "I loved you..."

Although, with her high intensity godliness I would expect she would say "My ring please"

So that's where the Varren STD came from.

Rephrase.

"It'd be nice if a LI I actually liked would..." (etc., etc.)

Ah, indeed. But what are words besides meer ways to confer feelings. I think Tali IMO says far more than any other person of any other species possibly could by saying Shepard is the only person she would suit-meld with. That there is love undeniable.

I would have liked something where Tali said that she was distraught when she heard Shepard had died. Seeing as she had a crush on him since ME1.

If you cheated, then you'll probably lose both and have the option of a new LI. If you've been loyal, there should be a nice "reward", ifyaknowatimean. If you romanced Tali and she died in the suicide mission (if that's even possible?), Shepard should be depressed.

yeah you NEVER hear those three words.

would be fitting to have it with a continued love interest.

It would be unfair as I would have stayed single if I had known of the better things coming in ME2. I doubt theyll make us go back and play ME1 and then ME2 over again just to keep either LI in 1 or 2. And yes, it is possible for Tali to die.

Saying "I love you" & possible interspecies kid(s) if you have an alien LI, adoption could work, too

Is it fair to assume that Tali would know already if you had Ashely as LI in ME1? I can see Tali getting scared and nervous if Ashley shows up if you romanced Ashley in ME1 and her in ME2, because she'll be afraid you'll leave her, but it would be kind of weird if Tali got upset about finding out about you and Ashley in ME3, because she somehow didn't get it in ME1.

Oh well... all the more reason to play the game a few more times to get all the various combinations of endings you want for ME3.

I know how you feel.  If Tali was romancible in ME1, I wouldn't have gone with Liara. But it's a game and you can go back and carve out a different path if you want.

It's nice to have multiple Sheps for different scenarios.  We've got a couple of years before ME3 comes out. Plenty of time to stock up for different scenarios you want to play through.

This is exactly what I want.

After saving the galaxy, settling down tih your LI and rasing minisheps sounds ideal.

Unless the conclusion is that you die. Who said every story has to end happy for everybody.
