I agree with the sig, except for the "unless with a human" part. I'd change it to "at all".

I know this is an RPG, but so many people are making romance, sex and having kids a huge part of the game. Sometimes I think people don't realise there's an actual story arch. Reapers, people, remember? Why turn one of the best sci-fi RPGs into even more of a space-soap-opera than it already is? If you want Shepard to have kids, go read some fanfiction, or write your own. Every voice inside my head screams that having Shepard play the family man/woman is fundamentally wrong.

Yeah, my sig is in regards to possibility, not desire. But I agree, when did RPG's become at the end just a dating service. Throw raging male into pot of raging females and find the best fit. Oh, and if possible save the galaxy... but whatever.

We're talking about after the events of ME3 are over and the Reaper invasion is presumably vanquished. OK, Shepard probably doesn't want to settle down just yet, but there's no reason to think that he doesn't want to have kids at some point, especially if he's in a committed relationship. I hope we get an epilogue, that's all.

With the threat of so many "sapient species" becoming extinct by the Reapers & Shepard being the glue that holds & unifies everybody, every1 must do their part to ensure that current "sapient" species don't meet the fate of their predecessors. Anyway, when/if the Reaper threat is thwarted, who says Shepard won't deserve a little RNR & TLC, & if that leads to a family, so be it. Just seems to be kind of a waist to string us players along a space-opera w/ a LI option & nothing of note comes of it.

I think you're looking for "sentient" not "sapient". Humans are the only sapient species roaming the galaxy.

As far as we know. How interesting would it be to find that humans were visited before and were abducted (see various bible stories of people going to heaven without dying and never returning).

But seriously...

Why would an LI have to lead to children? Why cant the story just end with shepard + his love of choice.

It's possible. I mean, someone stole a damn T-Rex and dropped him on a random planet.

I hope not and I'm also convinced that Shepard has already absorbed such insane amounts of radiation, exotic or otherwise that he/she is 100% infertile ;)

Hmm. Altrought I am a fan of Tali-mance ( or so they call it ), I must agree. Seeing the LI plot developing in ME is a great thing, gives the game a more realistic aspect when looking at the bonds between crew members ( at all they are going to a suicide mission! ). But a Shepard having a family life is a good continuation of the story, and should be taken to a creative writing. There are alredy 2 ( as far as I know ) books about the ME universe. Looking at this from side of difference between all LI's, a creative writer could write few books, every one of them telling about Shepard's life with his/hers love interest. But i would rather leave it for some professional writers, so they could make it worth reading for a hardcore ME fan's.

Mordin Solus or Miranda (being the leader of Project Lazarus) would have told Shep of any health probs.

Not a real fan of the having kids thing...beside I play a fem Shep so how would that work out? Other than having an epilogue telling me that me and Kaidan decided to have a baby and I had no choice about it whatsoever....do not want. And Shepard being pregnant DURING ME3...I probably don't have to say more about that.

Elcor or hanar, definitively akin to bestiality, asari or quarains, not so much. To reiterate a past pt of mine, in Star Trek a human marring any other humanoid species.

This intrigued me good sir as to the definition. Fortunately medicine has already solved this issue for us:

Medical Dictionary

Main Entry: bes·ti·al·i·ty
Pronunciation: "bes-chE-'al-&t-E,
"bEs-
Function: noun
Inflected Form: plural -ties
: sexual relations between a human being and a lower animal
Merriam-Webster's Medical Dictionary, © 2002 Merriam-Webster, Inc.

Late Edit: That is to say though that I have not romanced any non-human so far.

Okay Shepard settling down, I could definantly see that.

If your playing a paragon one of the responses to Grunt would have Shepard say "I'm not going to be doing this forever you know". Indicating that while Shepard does like gallivanting around the galaxy killing hundreds and romancing random aliens. He does eventually in the future want to settle down.

That is if your playing a paragon.

As to the whole alien pregnancy deal. It's Bioware. If they want to introduce alien pregnancy by Shepard, they'll do it and justify it using science that requires a stretch of imagination. I mean no one complained over the whole four krogan testicles conversation that Shepard has with Garrus in the first game.

Though on the other hand. I don't believe Kirk had any alien offspring, and I do believe he was the entire inspiration for screwing aliens for the first game.

Many fo topics touching the game LI aspect end up on a race who gets more inmature or perverted idea of it.

Like Mordin could say for example: "Liking the Quarian girl - natural, nothing to be ashamed for, but perverted visions of interspecies contacts - too much data."

My Love Interest from ME1 was Liara and then Miranda with ME2. So I would love to see either in ME3 have children. Have you seen the cover of the ME comic out now with Liara on the cover? She looks badass. So a Femshep Asari for a ME4 would be awesome. There were so many biotics in ME2 it only seems logical that ME3 would prolly take out the pure Soldier class all together (which would open up a new class maybe?).

children from any of the LI's of ME1 or ME2 = Cool (or like Fable2 where you get to interact with your kids!)

The final cut scene I could see it possible for Liara or any of the humans but not for the others.
