I remember I replayed ME atleast 10 times over the 2 years I've owned it. I've played ME2 3 times and I'm finding it nearly unbearable to play again because there are no rewards in this game.

This game lacks rewards for the player. The only reward or "prize" you ever get is a choice of picking a weapon specialization or a new gun. Great.

But what happens when you do New game+? You get nothing new. You can't even pick a new weapon. Whats the point then? This system is stupid and removes significant amount of replay from the game.

Bioware should learn from past games of theirs that Treasure/Rewards enrich the gaming experience drastically. Removing this element from the game hurts EVERYONE and is NOT FAIR. Please make a patch that makes it so when starting a New game+ we are allowed to choose another weapon from the Collector ship, this would make a lot of people more intrigued at replaying with the same character as well as setting a goal.

i'm on my second playthrough, i intend to start insanity after this and then start again with a new class. Some of us don't need a pat on the head to want to play a great game again and again.

Pat on the head? How about MOTIVATION for playing the game. Playing with a different class hardly changes much, Resident Evil 5 has more guns and rewards then this game and it's not even an RPG.

You're telling me it's not fun for you when you pick up a shiny new gun or armor in any RPG you've ever played? What if Shepherd went through the whole game in a Hawaiin shirt and shorts and just 1 pistol? Would that change your perspective?

ME2 will have tons of DLC that will have me going back again and again. ME1 had little DLC even though they promised periodical DLC but this time they are serious about it and so far they have more than delivered both for ME2 and DAO. Beyond DLC ME2 has a far more compelling story than the mediocre ME1.

Question. Exactly what the hell did ME1 reward you with for replaying it again?

And a truckload of new types of gear ;)

And on that note we only have ourselves to blame. Bioware listened to the fans and made the changes we asked for. Whaa inventory sucks. Whaa Mako sucks. Whaa it is to complicated to sell/omni gel my inventory. Whaa there wasn't enough action. Whaa missions were to long.

Keeping all your skill points and upgrades. Also being able to upgrade your squad with the best armor (this took multiple playthroughs and it pays off in the end when you get to see your squad decked out with the best) as well as Spectre guns.

Although a better game to compare to that Bioware is famous for is KOTOR. This game had plenty of rewards

Example:

Cassus Fett's battle armor
Heart of the Gaurdian crystal
Mantle of the Force crystal
Jurgan kaltas Assault rifle
HK-47
Revan's Robes
Etc..

This game lacks variety and uniqueness. Shepherd is a Spectre wearing stock armor and weapons and hardly, if ever, get's to upgrade. Then when we get a chance to earn something unique (Widowmaker/Revenant) we are cut off from a 2nd chance at these for no apparent reason.

You mean a truckload of the same gear with different colors and slightly differing stats?

What did ME1 not reward you with? replayed so many times and never gets old.

would love if the planet mining in ME2 would be replaced for more exploration on planets.

If by that you mean "metric f**k-tons of useless level X gear you'll sell/omnigel instantly anyway because you have Colossus and Spectre Master Gear level 10", then, yes, it is a "truckload of new types of gear".
There's also the "minor" inconvenience that pretty much every weapon was identical.

Yes,
running around the Mako over the same mountain-y planets for hours on
end was great fun (the first time around).

As
for the first part, please elaborate.

Not nessicairly true My last speed run on my second playthrough from 50-60 i managed to fully outfit the entire squad with Colossus X and Specter X so it is possible to obtain it all in one playthrough.

Heck i even managed to find Rage X for Wrex

I suppose being able to trivialize the overheat mechanic and the Insanity difficuty as a result was a crutch for many people.

Personally, I'll replay it for the different decisions, classes, love interests, and squad combos. Being some uber unkillable badass with an arsenal the size of Niko Bellic's waistband doesn't appeal to everyone.

How about instead of pointing out the "same gun just different color" excuse we've all read a thousand times, how about being more imaginitive? Slight tweaks to the gun's performance and how it reacts can easily set it aside and become it's own weapon.

We all know the Widowmaker sniper rifle is better then the Viper sniper rifle because it shoot's slower but with higher impact. You can apply the same characteristics to a battle rifle, which they did, to the Geth Pulse rifle which is more accurate, and the Revenant SMG to be less accurate but stronger impact.

Even the new DLC Shotgun is supposedly better ranged and has armor peircing ammo. This I like to see, If Bioware releases more weapons in this nature then I would definitely be happier. As of now the game is empty with this type of content. I am merely addressing it with some criticism I hope to share with the rest of you and maybe Bioware will do something about it.

Name ONE situation where an extra 0.1 second of firing/0.3DPS saved your ass.

The light machine gun is quite different from a submachinegun. And the Sniper rifles are actually different this time 'round (granted, not in a good way, since most of them are useless).

LOL, I didnt even make it through the 1st replay.

Way to linear and unchanging. 1 complete game was enough long as you do everything the first time

Oh PS: I wont be buying any DLC for this game as a extra 1-5 hours of content wont fix the problems in this game. Just way to many, to often for any single fix

not only planet exploration btw, forgot to mention the boarding of ships in ME2 we need more of those.

In ME1 I have the feeling I can make more choices and having more freedom than in ME2.
without spoiling, I tried to recruit Legion earlier so I could bring him to certain places (loyalty mission included) and see the reactions of the npc's, I didn' t get very far since an scripted event started just after the second mission with him.
never had the feeling in ME1 I  was "pushed"  to finish or start a certain mission so it gave me the sense of freedom.

The bonuses for achievements.
And I like the inventory but I guess that's more personal taste.

Excellent point. You remember Wardin Kuril from Purgotory right? Well we can all see that he uses the Revenant LMG in the boss fight. Now wouldn't you have preferred to kill this ***hole and take the gun from his cold dead fingers, or find it lying on the ground in a ship?

See that's just 1 way of adding content to a game and having to earn it at the same time.

Some games uses treasure chests, some use shops, some use recipes (ship upgrades) and other times they are hidden within a puzzle. Think back to the days of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and KOTOR (as examples) and think of the moments you found something new, try and imagine that feeling IN THIS GAME. it simply doesnt exist in ME2, it lacks, and I hope it is soon filled with atleast the DLC, and any future Bioware developments. Bring back diversity and variety!

Not to mention, all these armor DLC just ****** me off even more that I can't equip my squad. Why the **** does Garrus have to walk around with busted armor? Why is Jack topless in firefights? Is Mirandas bra bulletproof, or does she have a shield generator stuffed in her ass cheeks?

Those weren't carryover rewards, nor were the bonuses for achievements, so... wrong. That Legion thing bugged me too, though.

^this. Regardless of what you say, allowing EA to squeeze money for everything out of you makes you a complete and utter idiot.
