The arena fights have been easy so far, but this last one is crazy. He can one shot you from over half health somehow (especially if you're not in heavy armor but my characters in the dragon armor and got one shot) and barely takes damage, and its not like hes going to sit in a corner while you kill everything else. Might have to get the strategy guide for this one...
PS - I doubt Cone of Cold-ing the entire crew will work, since in my game, enemies like to run up to you and such.
How are you supposed to beat Piatin?

Cone of Cold him.
The best way to do it is by bringing out your very best party (in my case, at that time it was Morrigan, Alistair, and Sten), and try to take out the melee mook as quickly as possible. Then, you keep using your Status Effect inflicting abilities to make sure that they don't have enough momentum to rape you. Also, having someone with an ability that prevents knockdown and stun, like Indomitable, is useful for when those guys use their knockdown ability. I ignored the ranged mook until I defeated Piatin.
It's a really tough fight, and it mostly comes down to luck. The fact that dwarves have a one in ten chance to ignore magic doesn't help at all.

Think I should beat Piatin before the yellow titled guy? I usually save everyone like that for last, but Piatin is just crazy overpowering my party.

force shield on who ever he is hitting, or better, forceshield him. eitherway u neutralize him for 20 seconds, allow u to finish the rest.
