I know the idea is that there are only 2 key points in the game when you have to swap the discs out. However, for people like me who play 6+ hours a day and beat the game every other day, this has become excrutiating. Is there any chance for the xbox game to be patched so that when both discs are copied to my xbox HD i can only use 1 disc in the drive to play for the whole game?

Please!

I think "excruciating" is a little bit of an exaggeration. :P Either way, there are legal reasons that they cannot do that.

So you have to get up once every 3 hours and you're complaining? LOL This isn't a big deal at all.

I really wish they went the play disk/install disk route so we can install both disks, but only use one to play.

I agree, that disc swapping doesn't make sense since the whole game is installed in the HD. I understand there are legal reasons, but I suppose you cannot install 1 pirated disc and 1 legit disc in the same HD...

The only thing I don't like about disc swapping is removing the discs from the CE case. I always feel like I'm going to snap one in half. Because of this reason I have one completed play through and 4 other characters that just finished Horizon.

Think of it as a health thing. Every three hours you have to get off your butt to prevent blood clots forming from sitting too long. Or as a bathroom break reminder. :D

Haha that reminds me of last nights Chuck, where they mentioned Chuck once laid on his bed for 3 months playing Gears of War and had bed sores.

they did it so that their consumer base could get some exercise in. They knew that playing ME2 for six+ hours a day would turn you into a fatty, so they thought if they made you get off the couch a couple times during that it would prevent your heart from stopping.

You have to change discs only twice in a 50+ hour long game, and you're still complaining?

What if you play Lost Odyssey, then?

Lol I'm joking, but honestly I can't see where the problem is :D

Legal reasons?

Like Forza 3 having a play disc and a content disc on 360? Only requiring Disc 1 to play.

It's not that big of a deal, but you cant say they couldnt have made it where you need 1 disc to play, if you think about it they enable 2 360s to play the game at once, you can start your game, your buddy can be in the middle of his.

I dont think having to swap them is again a "big deal" but most people that get into the story etc, whether it be a movie or a game, get an abrupt "put in disc ___"  that takes them out of the experience. I can already tell that if this game ever sees the light of day on PS3 and it's a one disc bluray, people are going to flip out, hell people will still flip out on the PS3 if they made it 2 discs and only use up a 3rd of each disc instead of using one bluray.

Imagine watching LOTR on cds, rather than dvds, how many times you'd have to swap em out, you think that'd be cool?

Yeah I agree with you there, being that they are dvds rather than blurays for obvious reasons, they get scratched good enough or with the way the case is for the CE especially, and possibly snapping one into, your out 60-70 bucks.

Before flipping out on people you dont know, consider it as an issue of mobility, what if someone is disabled, what if they cant get around very well, not everyone on earth was blessed with long life and perfect health, some were born in ways people could care less about, and some have been torn apart so to speak, along the way.

Again before you flip out, consider other ends of the spectrum.
