What are your proudest or most unexpected combat moments?

Discovering a tactic or combination you previously thought wasn't
possible or simply pulling off something so astounding (at least to
yourself) that you literally patted yourself on the back?
I
had a couple of such moments. The first was somewhere in Illium with
this huge glass wall on the side of the bulding. I pulled an asari
vanguard towards me after depleting her barrier and then punched her
right through the panel/wall screaming all the way down to her death.
On an N7 mission, I shockwave'd 4 geths off a balcony to their deaths.
It was the first time I realise i could shockwave someone who is on a
higher ground without any physical path leading to him.

On the Garrus mission, at the bridge, I had Jacob use pull on Jaroth (ecllipse leader) then I charged him. Managed to somehow get him to land in Garrus's sniper nest, where he was promptly headshotted.

Three Vorcha were shooting at me. I pulled out my pistol and, in a brief moment of inspiration, slapped Cyro on it, shot two of them twice, then charged the third and ducked behind nearby cover before the other two thawed.
Probably what I was supposed to do, but given how I spent much of my Sentinel playthrough behind the same first patch of cover it was quite the awesome actiony moment.

I figured out you could Pull explosive canisters by accident when I Pulled one into a bunch of mechs. Since then I keep trying to duplicate the coolness of that moment but Pull is unfortunately rather unpredictable as far as direction.

Pull will actually general *push* the target in the direction it is travelling when it hits. The obvious exception is if you curve it over cover so that it hits from the top, they will lift straight up.

The Merc's body literally landed in front of me a minute or two later, after my squad killed everything in the room.
I was very proud of myself.

On a side note: Did anyone else have a hard time adjusting to the different style of gameplay? It took me a while. Once I got it, I was great. But yeah, took some getting used to.

you can curve or pull enemies in any direction you want by aiming to side of them.stillnotking wrote...

for example, if i'm using warp i can curve it over the boxes by aiming above the lock-on box.
if i'm using pull and aimed above the lock-on box it would draw them into the air like lift did in ME1.
thats something, because Miranda doesn't even know pull.Miranda Pulls. Me and Garrus both do Concussive Shot.

One is on Horizon. It's where you face off against a group of collectors, husks, Harbinger and a scion. Didn't have the firepower to take out enemies fast enough, so I had to stay in cover, which by the way was pretty much impossible with Harbinger and the husks charging right in my face. All I remember from that specific encounter was my AI squad mates being exceptionally smart at staying in cover and flanking enemies. Very rare occasion - Guess I lucked out that time.
Another one is on the Derelict Ship. Last part where you face off against three waves of husks and abominations was by far, the craziest encounter I've had in the game. It was chaos - I was running and gunning and throwing all over the place, while Mordin incinerates the armor off everything and Grunt charges at groups yelling "I am krogan!" over and over. Good times.

Another is when I was facing a very tough group with a heavy mech among them. Burned the heavy mech down to red health and hacked it. The rest was priceless.

And smacking down the YMIR MECH with the stock of the shotgun was also a pretty great moment.

Not particularly unique, but one of those action hero moments you feel proud of. It needed a one liner, really, but i'm rubbish at those.
