Are there any combat moments that you are particularly proud of?
Discovering a tactic or combination you previously thought wasn't
possible or simply pulling off something so astounding (at least to
yourself) that you literally patted yourself on the back?

I
had a couple of such moments. The first was somewhere in Illium with
this huge glass wall on the side of the bulding. I pulled an asari
vanguard towards me after depleting her barrier and then punched her
right through the panel/wall screaming all the way down to her death.

On an N7 mission, I shockwave'd 4 geths off a balcony to their deaths.
It was the first time I realise i could shockwave someone who is on a
higher ground without any physical path leading to him.

Yeah I had one that I can't seem to duplicate. I had my Tech Armor on and used heavy throw on this one enemy. basically i got a Tactician point off myself. I'm not entirely sure how that's possible, but my teammates couldn't of helped me so there you have it.

I've had 2. I had an enemy in singularity get thrown straight up in the air and fall back down into my singularity, then be thrown again.Tied with that was when I threw singulary on a explosive canister and it flew up in the air and landed on a guy behind cover.

Hip fired a sniper rifle at a charging krogan, missed him, but the bullet killed some random rocket spamming vorcha in the background.

On the Garrus mission, at the bridge, I had Jacob use pull on Jaroth (ecllipse leader) then I charged him. Managed to somehow get him to land in Garrus's sniper nest, where he was promptly headshotted.

I figured out you could Pull explosive canisters by accident when I Pulled one into a bunch of mechs. Since then I keep trying to duplicate the coolness of that moment but Pull is unfortunately rather unpredictable as far as direction. :P

During a Vanguard playthrough, I figured out what Cyro Ammo is meant for.

Three Vorcha were shooting at me. I pulled out my pistol and, in a brief moment of inspiration, slapped Cyro on it, shot two of them twice, then charged the third and ducked behind nearby cover before the other two thawed.

Probably what I was supposed to do, but given how I spent much of my Sentinel playthrough behind the same first patch of cover it was quite the awesome actiony moment.

I was on the collector ship as my Engineer and was struggling with the fight on the platform for a good half an hour or so. I had 6 med packs in the beginning and had Miranda and Jacob with me. I ducked under cover right in front of the area where the first platform connects and as soon as it did, open fire on the Collectors. Miranda, Jacob and myself killed all three simultanously. Before the second platform could connect, I ran back to the middle and went into cover. Taking out my grenade launcher, I released an onslaught of grenades at the Scion, taking the first one down quickly. After that, the fight became tougher and I ended up wasting all my med packs. Miranda and Jacob both died and I had to finish the rest of the fight on my own. Finally, there was only Harbinger and the second Scion left. I brought out my drone, distracted Harbinger as I open fired on his backside. The scion was already low health so as I was reloading, I launched an Incinerate at it, killing it. My shield was broken and I was one hit from death. I was in the midst of reloading when Harbinger got in my face, so I went out of cover and quickly whacked him in the face, pushing him back to the edge and knocking him off the platform.

Pull will actually general *push* the target in the direction it is travelling when it hits. The obvious exception is if you curve it over cover so that it hits from the top, they will lift straight up.

Miranda Pulls. Me and Garrus both do Concussive Shot.

The Merc's body literally landed in front of me a minute or two later, after my squad killed everything in the room.

I was very proud of myself.

Not proud, but it did make me lol and showed me that my team wasn't totally stupid. When you first encounter the Collectors and you're stuck in that arena and the husks are coming at you at the same time, I kept having trouble. My fighting style is usually to either a) stay back and snipe (but there was no safe place to do so) or get behind cover and shoot for a good long time. I didn't realize until later there was just one good spot I could have used (overlooked it this time). Anyway, so since my attempts kept getting me killed and I didn't bring the most helpful of teams (I learned the hard way biotics are the best with Collectors. Not bad, but not nearly the best), I decided to just run. I ran in circles around the arena backwards shooting husks off me, until Jack and Garrus killed everything. I wish I had realized before this that there was one good spot. Ah well, like I said, restored my faith in my teammates..

On a side note: Did anyone else have a hard time adjusting to the different style of gameplay? It took me a while. Once I got it, I was great. But yeah, took some getting used to.

you can curve or pull enemies in any direction you want by aiming to side of them.
for example, if i'm using warp i can curve it over the boxes by aiming above the lock-on box.
if i'm using pull and aimed above the lock-on box it would draw them into the air like lift did in ME1.

thats something, because Miranda doesn't even know pull.

Off the top of my head, I could think of two on my Insanity run.

One is on Horizon. It's where you face off against a group of collectors, husks, Harbinger and a scion. Didn't have the firepower to take out enemies fast enough, so I had to stay in cover, which by the way was pretty much impossible with Harbinger and the husks charging right in my face. All I remember from that specific encounter was my AI squad mates being exceptionally smart at staying in cover and flanking enemies. Very rare occasion - Guess I lucked out that time.

Another one is on the Derelict Ship. Last part where you face off against three waves of husks and abominations was by far, the craziest encounter I've had in the game. It was chaos - I was running and gunning and throwing all over the place, while Mordin incinerates the armor off everything and Grunt charges at groups yelling "I am krogan!" over and over. Good times.

Using Cryo blast on a full group of husks, then unstable warp to finish them all off. This was just before they cornered me.

Another is when I was facing a very tough group with a heavy mech among them. Burned the heavy mech down to red health and hacked it. The rest was priceless.

Not extremely unique, but I love to drop couple of enemies in Adrenaline Rush with bursts from assault rifle to upper bodies and watch the bodies hitting the floor when the time returns to normal. :D Especially fun with Incendiary bullets!

And smacking down the YMIR MECH with the stock of the shotgun was also a pretty great moment.

Probably something many people have done, but there was something incredibly viscerally satisfying when, instead of running around collecting more thermal clips for my SMG when I ran out of ammo fighting the final boss, I whipped out the Cain and nuked it in the face. Good way to finish my first play-through, I thought. :)

Both teammates were KO'd by an YMIR mech. I went for broke, go out my flamethrower, stuck adrenaline rush on, and then jumped out of cover, charging right at the thing and facing it down, and won. Then, in a classic action hero moment, walked away whilst not looking at it as it exploded behind me like a shot from the Cain.

Not particularly unique, but one of those action hero moments you feel proud of. It needed a one liner, really, but i'm rubbish at those.

Probably not that 'memorable', but I was very content with myself taking out 3 of the orange cylinders on the human reaper using a pistol and Adrenaline rush. Gotta be quick, but it saves a ton of time on that last fight.

When you encounter the first YMIR Heavy Mech on Freedoms Progress. Jacob and Miranda and I got the mech to red HP finally. I popped cloak with warp ammo on my sniper just as Jacob pulled the Mech took him from 3/4 HP to death and he exploded like a Cain going off cause i shot him in the head. It was awesome.

On my vanguard, nearing death, I accidentally charged an unexpected trio of blue sun mercs and just shotgun'd and melee'd the 3 off balance (alternating melee hits between the 3 equally) and continued slamming the butt of my shotgun into them while grunting "f*** you!" with each hit. The fact that I managed to survive and keep them off balance the whole time as I beat through their shields and health was just gratifying.

The abandoned cave where there's endless amounts of husks thrown at you. Ran around picking up as many Husks on me as possible, used the Cryo Heavy gun while having Zaeed throw incineration grenades and Mordin do the aoe incinerate, was the most fun I've had in a game in a good while:)

So there was this one time I decided to see what curving Pull upwards would do... Poor mech was stuck in the air.

And, just about everytime I Charge with my Vanguard.

i used area throw on a collector in the finally mission... he and his buddy were a level above me and both were vaulting as i fired it... it hit them when they were mid-vault and they both got launched at a steep angle really, really far. I felt like i just kicked a 75 yard field goal.
