Sometimes my CE bonus content shows up as "authorized", sometimes not. Because it checks the stupid DRM for the DLC *every time you try to resume a saved game*, this means that sometimes I can play, sometimes I cannot.

I've gotten used to the extremely ugly ritual of starting the game, hittng the "redeem points" link to get to the right area of the website to confirm that they are there, quitting the game, manually starting the updater service, watching Windows complain that the service didn't run properly (but it must actually be working, hooray for making part of your game be a service without knowing how to create one that behaves properly), opening the config program, clearing the download cache, restarting the game, re-logging in.

But this morning that rigamarole, repeated twice, still has not fixed the problem.

Since I got half of those instructions from one post here, and half from another, I suspect I am not alone. And since these problems are the result of EA's corporate paranoia, Bioware takes the fall for a stupid decision.

weregamer, its not DRM. The game doesn't include DRM.

It is digital, it is restriction and it is managed. So it must be DRM.

[edit]

By the way. Say byebye to your saved games if your net connectivity is not alive and you happen to have a dalish ring or Shale activated in it. This is DRM at its best. (which is bad).

Generally I get that message when I try to load a game before the EA server has finished talking to my computer, I just wait about 5 secs and try again and no probs
