I do not understand these " what is wrong with ME2: blabla" or " ME2 fail", etc.

This is a unique story , a unique game. BioWare make it how they want to. I had few problems with the first episode of ME, but in ME2 I felt comfortable. I like the gameplay, the fights, the scanning, the story, the characters, everything. ( except the last boss, but who cares? )

Try to enjoy the game how it is. People who always complain for little things, should learn how to enjoy something what others made. It will never ever be 100% perfect, because that would mean every single gamer loves it... its impossible.
But still, its about 99% for me.

ME was great, ME2 even greater, and Im sure ME3 will be the same.

I know it is stupid term, but if you don't like it, then don't play it.

Bioware has spoiled us. We pretty much expect everything to be perfect now. It has subsequently made all non-Bioware games boring to us now. lol

I agree completely. ME series is the most epic game series to date. All the recent games have been rather bland in either mechanics, plot, characters, or other areas. ME is rather unique in many ways. Not a lot of good space games have been made, the mechanic is unique, the plot is unique in that players build their story.

Sure, it has some issues. It is a game, and all games have some issues but you just have to accept those and take them with a grain of salt and look at the big picture.

There is nothing as unrewarding for me as trying to play an ordinary game after you just finished a Bioware RPG...

I personally take the "little things" seriously. For instance there are only 3 patterns for armor to choose why only 3? I doubt it would take that much longer to design a few more to use. Another "little thing" an armor system that really serves more for looks then defense. Most armor only gives a small boost to a stat say 5% to shields or health, problem is at higher difficulties that wouldn't even amount to 1 extra shot blocked and it becomes useless. Another "little thing" is how enemy ai is really accurate at long range but aloto f times your squad members cant hit anything 5 feet from them.

It seems for every good thing in me2 (better characters, new weapon system) there is something that takes a step down (equipment system, armor) I really wanted to enjoy me2 so many things annoy me about it that its hard for me to be glad I bought it. I guess my standards are too high but after playing modern rpgs like ME, and the disappointing oblivion I'm left dreaming for another diablo 2 or morrowind to be released. If there is one thing I would like released for ME2 is a custom difficulty setting that lets you pick enemy health, damage, reaction speed, defenses for the various difficulty settings and combine them into one difficulty mode. I prefer the enemy hp of insanity, armor of hardcore and damage of veteran.

Personally I can't fault it, I love it so much it's unhealthy, more so than ME1. I wish RPG fanatics would lay off because of this or that feature (or lack thereof), I always thought of ME as interactive entertainment, rather than a game.

My only problem is: what the hell do I do now? All games seem crap in comparison!

I just hopped over to ME1 to finish a couple playthroughs to bring them over, and I find myself incredibly spoiled now. And I fear once I stop playing ME for a little while to play actual OTHER games and I'll be constantly judging them, damn you bioware!

The only real problem in ME2 is the planet scanning. Other then that, the game is great. Some people are just too wraped up in wanting Mass Effect 2 to play like Dragon age. ME2 is a shooter RPG, not a classic RPG. The devs have been saying this since ME2 was first shown.

I keep hitting the reload button and try to send my squad to locations when I play ME1 now. ME2 spoiled me way too much.
