19 hours after I have created my dwarven test character, and he's still being noted as a level 1 character on the website. Brilliant updatespeed I must say. :/

ok I'm personally still having this "unable to connect to Dragon Age servers" problem. Any advice would be apreciated.

Both of you made sure the game isn't being blocked by any firewalls? Most firewall software should have an exception list, and you'll want to add Dragon Age to it.

Firewall: Sygate
Dragon Age : Allowed to access internet

Also happened when I was using zonealarm earlier this year and had it also allowed on that one but stil had the same problem. ( previously my friend was playing her game of DA on my computer. It was so fun to watch I just had to get my own :) )

New info. If you are having this problem and you happen to get it before you get to name your dog... it will accept the ok from the box that pops up as the ok for the dogs name as... well.. Dog. So if this happens... just reload from last save and try again.

ok do not bother naming the dog.. simply put not possible if you get this problem as freguently as I get it (every 10-20 seconds). Not possible to get through the conversation part to NOT get it.. so my dog will be called DOG instead of Saiyoru as I wanted it. :pinched:

I'm having the same problem on the PC version. I've read all the threads I could find related to this issue and tried many of the suggestions with no luck. I'm running windows 7 and McAfee. I thought this was a firewall issue so I completely disable McAfee to see if that would fix it, no luck. I opened up ports 8000 and 8001 for forwarding on my NAT with no luck. I tried running the the game as Administrator with no luck, I've run the beta exe tool with no luck. I have the ultimate edition with all of the DLC and the DLC works.

This pop up is very annoying and happens every 5-10 minutes. A fix to this would be appreciated.

has anyone actually manased to find a cure for this yet. My copy was working perfectly bu now I cannot even auto login from within the game start screen. Also, when i click on manage account from within the game my machine starts up IE but cannot find the server at http://go.bioware.co...tpassword/en-us whos IP starts 159.153.234.

I've just had this start happening in the last couple of days.  Very, very annoying.

Yeah, the pop up is extremely annoying. If I could shut it off I wouldn't care if my info wasn't updated on the Dragon Age site. I just want it to go away so I can play the game without interruption.

This is happening to me now, and it's hideous. EA tech support gave me the brush with a canned "turn off your firewalls and tell your ISP to suck less" message, which is rather stupid considering this happens to me on exactly two games -- this one and ME3. The common element? EA's servers. Every other game I have on my numerous PCs and consoles connect to the internet like smooth butter.
