This might come out as a total fan-boi post. But to be honest I dont really care. I see so much negative feedback I really don't understand, I know its not another Oblivion/NWN/ME or whatever people are looking for, but I came to turn with the way the game is designed in the first hour and just sat back and enjoyed the story, the combat, and the fact that I actually had to use my RTS skills in an RP Game (that i had to use any game skills in an RPG is amazing).

Sure, there are minor bugs and/or lack of features, like the when PC is walking the NPC's are running and not walking or the whole inventory deal where an item just fills up one slot, no matter how big it is or how many times it stacks. But in the bigger picture it fills so very little.

Without exaggerating this game is one of, if not the best, game in terms of immersion I've ever played. The story is so vast, the whole political plot going on behind the gamer which you dont take much part in, and the heaps of readable content in the codex is just... mind boggling. As an Art Director and writer I really appreciate the work behind all this.

So a big kudos from the cold Denmark to the, I can imagine much colder, Canada for an amazing game which I'm sure I'll be spending the next months enjoying.

I agree..I appreciate the game and the effort. I have been griping a lot about the broken textures, which I hope will be fixed soon, but I have stated in every one of those posts that this game's Lore, Sory, Voices, Combat are top notch and the best I have seen in quite some time. And choices actually do have consequences so you really have to think about what you are doing...

Kudos

LOL.

Detroit, Michigan also agrees.  If you don't agree, we'll mug you or foreclose on your home.

One word, Awesome. I can not find a better description for this game, yet.

Offtopic, I haven't been able to land a fatality on an Ogre yet, is it random or can you trigger it?

I think you have to have the right character land the final blow, I play as a mage, but in that screenshot its Zevran who landed the killing blow.

I like a game that makes me watch what I say, because I only get one shot at saying it, I cant ask the same thing 100000000 times, I cant just pick any options for dialog, I have to read, and some times I stop and take a few seconds for thought on what I want to say.

I cant just bash my way through the game ( well ok I am, 3 warriors and 1 rouge party ) but still, I have to pick my targets and such.

I like a game that is hard enough, and complex enough, to let me fail in a dialog situation, then force me to trun it to easy, because I made a mistake, and had to kill a super bad arse monster.

Oh, by the way, Archer rouge's ( the red headed female ) rock.

This is the best game I've played in a long, long time. The story is amazing, the characters are people you really want to know and it's hard to drag myself away from the PS3 to do the things I'm supposed to do--you know, like go to work, eat, sleep, that sort of stuff...

I find the party's rouge very interesting, and she had such good tales to tale.

she also is very similar looking and acting to a person I work with.

I'm still pretty early on in the game, but so far this is shaping up to be what I was hoping for. I much prefer the more linear story-driven approach that DA:O has (and BioWare is known for) over an open-ended playground such as Morrowind (never tried Oblivian). In fact I only played Morrowind for about 10 hours before losing interest. I've put about 10 hours into DA:O and my interest is only growing. Great game, great!

Well I play as a Warrior with sword and shield, and have a rogue and 2h warrior on my team. Killed about 5-6 ogres so far no fatalities. Maybe Morrigan is stealing ma killz :P

Game is awesome. My only problem is that I picked my main character to be a shapeshifter when I already had one -_-. Thats my fault though. Anywho great game, can't stay away from it. Been too long since I have been addicted to a game/

I have seen my 2-hand NPC party member warrior, cause one to fall down, then he stands on its chest and impales its head with his sword.

277 kills currently, at level 9. How many kills do your characters have at a similar level.. I'm just wondering how much my rogue has killed in perspective.

After spending my youth on Baldur's Gate series, I'm excited to spend my adult life on Dragon Age series (there has to be a sequel right?) and Mass Effect series. It is easy to see how much effort and love is put into this game by Bioware. I was baffled to learn that this game was announced in all the way back in E3 2004. Thanks a lot Bioware for being my last hope in this 10 hour long overrated shooter cluttered world. Keep creating awesomeness.

I'm also enjoying this game. The haters will hate, I'm just sitting back and enjoying this game. The only problem I seem to have is not having enough hours in the day to play this; but since the weekend is here, that problem will soon be over.

I rolled a mage first and have gone down the moderately good path. I rolled a Dwarf Noble Warrior last night. Already I ordered the assassination of another noble who threaten me in front of a scholar, set up a rendezvous with a bed friend, compete in the proving grounds and won champion, betrayed a noble politically, and agreed to kill off my older brother so that I could be next in line for the throne. And that was just in the Origins story. I really like this game. Don't let the haters get you guys down!
