After spending my youth on Baldur's Gate series, I'm excited to spend my adult life on Dragon Age series (there has to be a sequel right?) and Mass Effect series. It is easy to see how much effort and love is put into this game by Bioware.

I'm in the same boat as you.  I grew up on CRPG's like Baldur's Gate, and I think Bioware has not only extended the tradition in a way that tickles my nostalgia, but they've managed to modernize in some ways without completely turning me off to the game.

It occurs to me that a lot of the people complaining about DA just don't "get" it because the oldest RPG they can remember is Oblivion.  Thankfully, Bioware knows its niche and isn't afraid to carry on the CRPG tradition.

The truth is that on every forum, there will be large groups of people who will be excited about the game. After the game comes out, some groups will be disappointed and will leave. The fortunate thing about that is that the people who loved the game will stay. The constant flaming and complaining will eventually end.  And remember:  there are more people who are in love with this game on these boards than there are people who hate it.  It's just that the people who hate it are a lot more vocal about it.

I saw that same on, just last night.  Yeah, I chuckled.  So far, that is the only BG reference I've found, but I am positive there are more hidden somewhere.

Thanks Bioware for not neglecting your Mac gamers. This is just the kind of entertainment one can use after hours of editing video. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the ultimate edition :)
