They all fail cause the squadmate AI sucks.  Shepard still manages to pwn giant terminator without them, but then dies trying to climb aboard the Normandy because he fails at pull ups.

Well I think if you count the old ones Wrex. New ones would be Garrus/Tali/Legion (hacked) vs Miranda/Jacob vs Thane/Zaeed vs (Samara?)(Mordinth?)/Jack vs Grunt/Modin. A different scenario would be Legion and Tali having Mordin separating from killing themselves, leaving Grunt to join with whoever he wants as well as Garrus and Thane as a sniping combo... and a dangerous biotics team would be cool

Shepard, of course. All the upgrades, the combat experience and his inside knowledge of each of the other combatants... he could easily provoke the more powerful combatants into strategic mistakes and exploit their weaknesses.

Jack defeated 4 Big-Mechs in a couple o seconds...

i dont think that a whole Team o 3 others can even kill ONE in that time!

People like to say Jack because of the Mechs, however the Mech's can be easily outsmarted. Many of the party members are great tactitions

Everyone seems to act like Tali can just hack Legion whenever she wants, even though he has the same power, unlike pretty much any other Geth. Real realistic. I'm sure he has some basic kind of firewall, y'know. Plus he's an advanced model of sorts. Even if Tali could hack him with her Quarian knowledge of Geth, I doubt she could do it instantly.

If these were the squad mates from my game? Tali, not just saying that, here's reason....

First Samara is going to go after Zaheed and Jack. Why? Renegade merc and criminal - Justicar code.
Those three will probably all kill each other, or be so close to death as to be no threat to anyone else.

Next Garrus and Shepard are Bro's, they look after each other. My Shep's LI is Tali, so Garrus is going to protect Tali for Shep.

Miranda is all about TIM and remember TIM convo at begining of game? TIM wants/needs Shep as a symbol for Earth (Cerberus) and what TIM wants, TIM gets, so Miranda will want Shep happy, so she will also protect Tali for Shep (besides TIM can probably bring her back or clone her).

Thane also is good friends with Shep (saved his son), so will pay Shep back by protecting Tali.

So you've got a 4 person team (triangle w/ Tali in middle). So three outside fight while Tali is draining shields, using Chikktika vas Paus, and poping off the shotgun from relative safety.
 
Those four will take down Grunt, Jacob, Legion, and any survivors from Samara fight.
Basically Tali vs Legion, while Miranda, Thane, and Garrus take down Grunt... Jacob would probably shot himself in the foot, fall over and crack his head.

Then it's down to the last four, Garrus, Thane, Miranda, and Tali.
 
Garrus and Tali will team up to take down Miranda and Thane. Thane won't fight back because he is resigned to fate because of illness, Miranda won't be a problem.

That leaves Garrus and Tali. Garrus will lower weapon and hug Tali. He will tell her to be happy with Shep and tell her to make sure their sacrifices weren't in vain. He will then do himself in.

That leaves Tali. Again this is what would happen with my squad mates because of their chemistry together. With your squad mates the results could be different.

You know.... forget all that, the winner is Master Blaster!

......now to sit back and wait for the boooo's to begin.........

Mordin, Grunt, Samara & Jack are the ones with a good chance. People who know how not to die when others know they are there and are trying to kill them.



I'm seconding other's thoughts that Biotic users are naturally the strongest characters per the full Mass Effect universe.
