I really like Tali but I am still lost on where the sexy body comes from. She has chicken legs,3 fingers, never changes clothes, could die from a kiss, her face could look like a baboon's butt for all we know. I think she is funny and sweet though. She will always be one of my favorite team mates.

agreed, but all the people  who whorship her hang on in the fact that we dont know nothing about quarians, and that shes sweet and theres more than sex etc etc, thing is in real life all of them would run like hell if she presented herself without helm looking like a squid.

Yeah the argument "It is her personality that matters!" is a pretty weak argument meant to keep her face an unknown for the sake of their fantasy....

Which is a selfish and hypocritical argument, she's still just a character and if that BS about personality was true why do they not want to see her face?

I think Tali's body is sexy, three-fingers and chicken legs and all, but I don't obsess over her and make up stuff like that. I just want to know what a Quarian looks like and out of all of them Tali.

I also wanted the Tali romance for male Shepard because narratively, I felt it was the best one to have. A relationship that develops throughout the course of the missions. I don't see Shepard as an extension of myself, I still see Shepard as a separate character and myself as a director.

I will never understand people who does.

The only route with more potential for fanboy tears than revealing Tali as bland and unattractive would be Bioware making the ME2 love interest act in ME3 just like the ME1 love interests act in ME2...

Well I do think the personality is most important that is why she is tied for my favorite team member.  I do see people talking about how sexy she looks is and what not but I just do not understand the sexy part. It is like this for those that want sexy go for Miranda for those that want a the nice, sweet, funny  personality go for Tali.

Oh, if that is what is meant by personality then I agree. Tali had the best personality out of all of the females in Mass Effect 1 and that still holds true in Mass Effect 2, another reason why personally I love the character along w/ Garrus, Mordin, and Legion.

I just haven't fallen in love with Tali, but I think she is the best match for my Shepard character.

Thank god somebody agrees... I only paused to notice the hips after being subjected to the musings of budding cultists the second I took a look at the forum. Fine, she's pretty hot. But a reveal of her face in ME3 could be interesting, and shattering the private fantasies of an entire community will be... amusing, to say the least.

Still, I find that, while the cults annoy me, Tali is a pretty cool character. Fine, she's agreeable and dependant on Shepard at times, but I'd like to see her become a stronger character in ME3, especially with all the talk of her being chosen as an Admiral. In ME1, she was prettymuch 1/3 innocence, 1/3 walking codex and 1/3 hips (dammit!). In ME2, she's come into her own a bit more, and she's grown up a bit. Maybe that process could continue into ME3? Thoughts, anybody?

^ True, something just out of grasp is almost worse than a disappointing reveal. Almost - in my opinion.

But it would lead to continuous rage rather than a real disappointment.

She shares genetic similarities to the Turians, has 3 fingers and three-toes in a chicken-like configuration like the Turians, the Krogans said they aren't soft like Asari and humans are, their eyes glow or give off light in some fashion, human DNA is toxic to them just like it is to Turians....

They will never reveal her face, or any Quarian's face now, because if they follow their own work they'd have to make them more like the Turians than the fan-bois could handle... it'll be like Dr.Claw or Ms. Sara Bellum or Wilson or countless other staple characters of shows whose face is never ever shown.

Of course these anti-Tali threads are becoming just as annoying as the pro-Tali threads... we need new forum guidelines. If it contains spoilers, you are supposed to enter [Spoilers] in the thread title. From now on, if it concerns Tali it should have [Tali] in the thread title. That way we no not to bother clicking on it (we being those of us who think both sides of the Tali debate are insane).

Just a suggestion, anyway.

The monster brings money. You're asking bioware to shoot themselve in the foot.

If you don't want story spoilers don't go to the spoiler forum.

You know, I bet even if they reveal her face w/ the supposed insectoid traits she still will have fanbois who are excited by her appearance.

As far as LIs go, Tali simply is the best character. Sure, Miranda may be hotter, because we see more of her, especially in the sex scene, but Tali speaks to me as a character. I pretty much don't care what her face looks like. Hell, I wouldn't care if we never get to see it even in ME 3. I just think that she's the best written LI, has to most engaging storyline and all in all 'feels' a lot more 'real' than eg. Miranda or Jack do. I mean, I never thought of her as an LI in ME 1, but she genuinely engaging in ME 2.

Its already been revealed in Ascension that Quarians share similar human facial features.

It's not an anti-Tali thread. I actually like Tali as a character. I was merely pointing out the source of the obsession. Personally I hope all characters return in ME3 including Tali. That doesnt make the crazy behaviour her character has caused on this board any less interesting or dare I say, slightly disturbing.

You could say the same about Thane.

at this point, any face they reveal will be hated by some. no matter how pretty or ugly they make her.

And  he has a legion of fangirls. I fail to think his face is much of a problem to them.

If you've seen some of the fan-art most of it, aside from vastly increasing her bust size LOL, also has her face looking pretty much like a human's or an asari's not like a Turian's or a Drell's at all.

My point is that something can be called "resembling a human" without actually looking anything like a human.

edited to add -> and his fangirls/boys knew what he looked like when they liked him, they didn't build up a "perfect" image in their mind first and then get stuck with his face.

Posting "funny" pictures have always showed the inability of the poster to make an argument and in this case, read.

That's because his face was revealed from the start. Besides no amount of fangroups can even compete with the Tali madness.

Tali's one of my favorite characters, but her more obsessive fans are just plain creepy.

Leaving the tali lovers doesnt improve anything either.
At least people get to vent.

I support this. Fair is fair, after all.

Keep Garrus and Tali as cameos in ME3, bring back Liara, the Virmire survivor, and the rest of the ME2 LIs.

This way, every LI gets two "starring" episodes, and no one gets special treatment. I hope Bioware are fair minded enough to realize, that the fanservice should be spread outside the Tali cult and Garrus fandom this time. Shine the spotlight elsewhere.

Honestly though, I doubt this was a concious design on Bioware's part. I wonder how they're looking at this. Especially the ones who designed Tali, wonder if they appreciate her being pornofied.

There will still be plenty of people who lust for Tali after the face reveal, just also a lot who will be disgusted by it.

There are people who aren't attracted to Thane's face but they aren't vocal since it isn't a reaction to anything.
