While I hope that Mordin will come up with a quick acting gene therapy so Tali can go without her suit more in ME3, I do have one fear; her eyes might be too big.

It's all personel preference, I like her personality and found it really funny when she got all flustered when I started flirting with her.

I'm not going to join the fanatics though, some of the stuff they say about what they would do with Tali is just down right creepy.

I concur.

So which is it, Talimancers? I'd honestly like to hear from a few. See her face, and have it not live up to your expectations? Or keep it masked for all time and never have your bubble burst?

Edit: I'm not anti-Tali, by the way, just anti-Talimance.

I have no fear, I have not built her up in my head as my dream woman either.

I don't care if she looks like spongbob square pants. Bring on the face baby. Besides i just think it makes them know you will by ME 3 just to see if you can see her face. Man what a marketing scam.Damn I wish I could have come up with that idea. Boy would I be rich. <+D

I definetly want to see her face. I do not care about her looks anyway (to certain point that is. if they make Tali look like Cthulhu as Chris Priestly threatened...:o) but her personality.

Not showing her face was a clever trick by Bioware to pull our legs. I applauded Bioware for that. But if they do it again on ME3 it will not have the same effect and would be just cheap. And lets face it, we HAVE to see what Quarians look like under that enviroment suit of theirs in point or another, not just Tali. Why keep it secret? Its not THAT big of a mystery that should be kept hidden. What is so special about Quarians?

That's the thing though, we don't have to see what she looks like. Shepard could have looked up quarian anatomy texts on the extranet at any point, but there's no real reaon why the player needs to see what she looks like. I'm not advocating against showing it though, far from it. Let's see it, and get it out there and over with, so (some) people can stop creepily obsessing over her.

I suspect your assumption's correct though, BW probably chose to hold off the reveal until ME3 (if they ever do show it), just to add another piece of bait to the ME3 hook.

Can't be arsed to read this thread but a lot of people love to assume Tali is the culprit of what they hate. Realize that if it's not Tali, it's someone else. Get. Over. It.

Personally I'm a big Tali fan and I want a face reveal. Honestly, if she's even kinda cute the fanboys won't be upset. And for the haters who complain that she's going to look as human as an Asari in order to appeal to fanboys, well, they are underestimating fanboys and fangirls. Fanboys and fangirls frigging love aliens, I mean look at Garrus. Definitely not human, but lots of fangirls. Fanboys and fangirls are weird like that.

If Tali's face is revealed I can assure you all that the fanboys will love her and the new anti-Tali complaints will be about how much they love a character that "isn't even all that hot, omg".

If you could be 'arsed to read it', you'd realize it's predominantly a thread about whether Tali should be unmasked or not, to end the obsession over seeing her face once and for all, interspersed with off-topic comments like your own assuming it's another Tali love/hate thread.

Edit: You know what, dissonance-zaon, I apologize if that sounded snarky. I suppose it might just seem like yet another Tali love/hate thread. My efforts to put the conversation back on topic seem to have failed. :D

Maybe I should have said "to read the entirety of this thread", I've read to page 3 and my comment is as valid as any. Thank you.

Edit: Just to clarify: This was my response to the original topic. The OP seems to have a problem with the "obsessed" and I am clearly stating that this has little to do with Tali herself. "Revealing the monster" as it were, will not stop any sort of obsession. Was just my 2 cents.

To be honest I dident care for tali much in the first mass effect game and when I found out she was on my recruit list I actually said but I dont want to have her on the team. So? What changed my mind? The way they had developed her personality. Just like all the fan girls fall in love with Alistar in dragon age for his personality I fell in love with Tali for her newly evolved personality in me2. Thers nothing wrong being a fan girl or a fan boy for a character in a video game as long as you know its just a game. =)

edit: oh and yes I also wanna see her face, I think it would be cruel of bioware not to rewel it in me3.

I sincerely hope you are joking, And NO I'm not part of the "Tali-for-Inter-galactic Dominance", cult, however, to remove a species of any kind, completely, totally, from existing, is so wrong for innumerably different reasons!!!

I digress however, considering your forum title.

Now I do support revealing Tali, but for other reasons, I've outlined in other threads:

"I strongly feel that we should see her face. I felt it was very inconsistent to the formula of the game that we didn't see it, but Shepard did. I feel that the game has catered to the fact that the player and Shepard are one.

It was her enigma that captured our attention, It's a great build up, and finally seeing under the mask could be one of, if not the biggest pay off for some people. Mystery needs to payoff at some point. Same goes for the Quarians in general."

I just don't see what's upsetting the OP. Look, I'm really sorry your favorite character doesn't have thread with 12000+ posts on it, but what's the harm? It's not like you are forced to participate in the Tali threads, in fact, you just created one. Yes, I agree some Tali fans can say some ridiculous things, but it comes with the territory, people just want to express themselves sometimes.

I love Tali, has been one of my favorite characters since I first played Mass Effect, and thought the romance was very fitting for the character. But, the majority of the fans disturb and annoy me as well as make me kind of ashamed to call my self a fan of Tali.

That said, I hope they never reveal what she looks like.

I feel the same in some sense but that's fans just being fans. As I mentioned in my previous post, people will obsess over anything. There's likely a minority of people here that only come here to talk about Tali. The rest would be just as tenacious about someone else if Tali didn't exist.

That said, I hope they never reveal what she looks like.

Don't say such things! Pro-reveal! :P

What I cannot understand about the Quarians is why in the hell they are wearing their suits on their ships. Tali said that they wear their envirosuits because they have very weak immune systems due to the lack of being around disease/infection/parasites, etc. (Or something along those lines).

Since the ships are so clean and environmentally friendly (apparently cleaner than modern human hospitals), why are they all wearing suits? It makes absolutely no sense to me at all..

Tali also says that babies are put in bubbles after they are born. ....Seriously? You put your babies in bubbles? How the hell are you even having sex in the first place? You can't get out of your suit, but apparently the area surrounding your reproductive organs is very accessible.

Sorry for the rant, but after playing Tali's loyalty mission, this hit me like a semitrailer. I'm a biology major, so I understand how the immune system functions for the most part.

What I'm getting at is their immune systems should have never weakened to the point that they are forced to wear envirosuits. All people carry bacteria, viruses, etc., and immunities to certain diseases, disorders, etc., so for them to have lost all of these just from being on the Flotilla for 300 years makes no sense.

Oh well, do with it what you must.

Tali's one of my favorite characters, an' my affinity for the character stems from the same root it does with all characters. Interaction. I don't think Tali's the sexiest creature in ME, but I do believe she has the most adoring personality. Not that that matters to anyone other than myself, it's just my preference.

Personally I'm getting annoyed with the Talimancing on the forum, like a lot of people are. Yeah, I support Femshep/Tali romance, but I have enough sense and experience to know that online and forum petitions rarely make any type of impact on a major franchise.

However, what I find even more annoying are the extreme anti-Tali trolls who continue to QQ about other people's obsesesions. If you pay attention to the conceptual artwork you get a hint of what the Quarians look like under the mask. It's not a final design but you get a sense of the mindset that went into the design of the race. Personally, I'm still inclined to believe they're scaled, though it's tough to say going on concept art alone.

If you think revealing the monster's face is going to stop the Talimancing you're going to be disappointed. An' for those wishing Tali would be killed off, you're just asking for more of a headache 'cause that'll only trigger a bigger Tali riot than the one that's currently plaguing the forum.

Tali? Sexy body? Excuse me since when are backward-bent knees and 3-fingered hands sexy?
