Since you said they weren't. Immature rebellion ftw!

On a serious note: I suppose it's a matter of "where it counts" for some. She's humanish enough for me to find her an attractive gathering of pixels.

Consider this, how does one make a pixel-woman loved and covetted by as many people possible? Creating a sexy body is easy to start with, the appreciation of certain features is instinctively present in all of us. Then suit her up in a tight suit to display and enhance these features for maximum effect, all pretty straightforward.

Now the hard part, her face. Faces are the most important means for humans to recognize each other. Our brains automaticly define many different facial attributes. With that many variables what is attractive to one person can be a turn off for the next. The solution: don't reveal it. People will naturally assume she is pretty because they WANT her to be. The mind makes her perfect because there is a lack of conflicting data.

Now to further people's interest, give her an alien and a slightly different or semi-familiar culture. The good old mysterious stranger trick. Let her speak your tongue flawlessly but with a defining accent. She is now familiar enough to be comfortable with but different enough to spark your curiousity, very clever.

Her personality needs to be mellow, so not to offend or annoy people. Strong enough to not make her a doormat. In short, make her average, predictable even. Add a bit of innonence to her personality and make her depend on and trust the main character..

A women with a hot body, a face of your choosing, foreign but no linguistic trouble and a personality that prevents nagging; an illusion of the perfect woman?

Your experiment succeeded, you can dominate the weak by portraying an unachievable but wonderfull reality. Now it's time to kill the monster you created Bioware! Reveal her face in Mass Effect 3, let the cries of anquish and discontent fill these forums. Release the ignorant from the cruel hold of their own fantasy. A fantasy you helped create and only you can destroy!

I beg of you, return to us these forums. No more "I want Tali's babies", "Tali-romance DLC please" or "I will love Tali forever" threads. This soap HAS to end, so we can all get back to murdering synthetics in peace and quiet.

Hey you guys should start a club.
Call it the Minority club, because that's exactly what you are minorities.
If you don't like the "tali love" then gtfo and good riddance.

Agreed. Each to there own. If you don't like it, go away and look at another forum.

Though I would like to see her face still.

The hips, arse, and torso are all in proper, and in some cases preferable, proportion.

Since when are head-tentacles sexy?(Asari)

It's about something different.

I find Miranda's body preferable in real life(though I certainly prefer my own girlfriend's "rack" so to speak)

yet I lean more towards romancing the "alternative" choices (Tali, liara to a lesser extent).

The hands and legs are different, to be sure, but they aren't disgusting. But yep, it's all about the hips.

Hips, personally, and the fact what outline we can see of her face through the mask doesn't look like Cthulhu :D

I don't think they should reveal her face.
Maybe to some, she is just a human-like alien with slightly different features. Maybe to others, she is pretty or ugly. Or maybe even some kind of partial synthetic.
Let the player use their imagination. Everyone's happy that way.
I agree though, I've only been here a few days and I think the Tali threads are already a bit over the top.

Don't get me wrong guys, I do like Tali a lot. But not in a romantic way. She does have the sweetest personality among the bunch, which is probably why I don't want to romance her -- it's like, what if the relationship doesn't work out and we can't stay friends?

What would be the greatest thing ever, was if they revealed her face, and it only strengthens her fandom even more. I mean heck, if Garrus can get half his own face blown and still have an incredibly solid and devoted fanbase who think he's the hottest thing since sliced bread, what makes you think revealing Tali's face will change anything at all?

Yep, they could actually make Tali cthulhu and her fans would still thinks she's cute. Considering the fact that actual Tali's face is pretty much sure to be baseline cute already a face reveal won't kill the obsession.

If anything, giving a cute face will only make them love her more because she'll be shy, self-conscious, and cute to boot, which will make everyone want to hug her.

I like Tali, she reminds me of a great friend who turns into a romance, I'm not obsessed but shes a great character. I will romance all the love interests for playthrough-ability.

Tali was my first choice however based on everything I knew about her from ME1 and how ME2 panned out. Her recruit/loyalty missions were the best IMO

What I cannot understand about the Quarians is why in the hell they are wearing their suits on their ships. Tali said that they wear their envirosuits because they have very weak immune systems due to the lack of being around disease/infection/parasites, etc. (Or something along those lines).

Since the ships are so clean and environmentally friendly (apparently cleaner than modern human hospitals), why are they all wearing suits? It makes absolutely no sense to me at all..

Tali also says that babies are put in bubbles after they are born. ....Seriously? You put your babies in bubbles? How the hell are you even having sex in the first place? You can't get out of your suit, but apparently the area surrounding your reproductive organs is very accessible.

Sorry for the rant, but after playing Tali's loyalty mission, this hit me like a semitrailer. I'm a biology major, so I understand how the immune system functions for the most part.

What I'm getting at is their immune systems should have never weakened to the point that they are forced to wear envirosuits. All people carry bacteria, viruses, etc., and immunities to certain diseases, disorders, etc., so for them to have lost all of these just from being on the Flotilla for 300 years makes no sense.

Oh well, do with it what you must.

As much as Quarians interest me, I dont really get the enviroment suit thing on flotilla either, but I do understand why their immunity system is weak. Originally it was weaker than other races anyway, as the bacterial lifeforms work differently on their homeworld than on other planets. Instead of growing stronger to keep them away when facing resistance their immunity system is more likely to adapt and coexist with those bugs. But life on sterile flotilla weakened this ability.

Tali also explained how reproduction works. They synch up their suit enviroments now and then with their loved ones so their immunity system adapts (they get bit sick at first) with each other so they can be together without suits when necessary. This obviously includes intimate relationships. But what caused them to be like this? Being 300 years on flotilla AMONGST YOUR OWN FRIGGING PEOPLE should not screw your immunity system so that you cant touch nor breathe same air that your mate does, at first anyway. I can understand complications on FOREIGN bacteria, hell it has happened on earth too. People that are quite resistant to some disease bring that bacteria/virus along to some other village that has been on isolation from it and it causes helluva havoc there, lots of death. But how can your immunity system be so weak that you cant tolerate your own people without getting sick for few days at first? I dont get it...

I agree. It makes no sense having to wear an envirosuit in a sterile environment. That's like the HAZMAT team always walking around in their HAZMAT suits because they could accidentally run into bubonic plague (or something...).

The Quarians are dumber than a box of rocks for wearing envirosuits at all times. Of course you're immune systems are going to be nearly nonexistent! First, you live in a sterile environment. Second, you wear envirosuits all the time! What do you expect? Without extensive gene therapy, extensive vaccine development and an overhaul of the envirosuits and sterile Flotilla environment, Quarians will never be able to colonize or retake their home world.

The Quarian race was very, very poorly designed from this perspective...

Look dude, I like tali because of her personality. I could care less what she looks like even if she has a pred face, her personality is win. I don't care about looks but her body is pretty damn nice, thats just a bonus. I'd still do it if she had a pred face. I'd still love her. "I happen to like the female pred art cus I like lizards. O_o humanoid reptiles are smexy to me O_O I have alot of favs like that on DA. LOL" She is THEE AWESOMENESS! Now go away. You can never kill the Tali-ness. We who truely fell for her if you knew anything about her or the reasons why is all personality. Not the pervy crap you think it might be because of. Hell I don't have to explain why to you.

Her knees don't bend backwards, you should pay attention when she runs.  Her calves and shin bones are shaped differently than human or asari, that's all.  They have a curvature not unlike human forearms.  It might not make a huge amount of sense from a structural standpoint, but that's how they're drawn, and it doesn't turn me off.

Neither do the tridactyl extremeties.  Maybe if she waved them in the camera more during her dialog scenes, I dunno.  I suppose I got used to half the races in the galaxy having two fingers and an opposable thumb in the first game, I hardly notice it now.
