Well i like Ash... but i like Miranda too, the only difference is that Ashley has a more in-depth back story and if you're Space Born than there's real connection there, Miranda was all about her father making her and her ''sister'' perfect and thought of herself a tool with no chance of changing her mind, contrary to Ash where after a while she came to my way of thinking.

Wrex over Grunt any time, Wrex is the word that pops up when you search badass with style in the dictionary and very simillar to Jayne Cobb which was one of the grater Firefly/Serenity characters.

Kaiden and Jacob feel preety much the same to me, i would have enjoyed having them both on my ship, i think they would've gotten along great.

Not much interest in Asari for me, but i kind of liked Liara's knowledge in the first and the fact that she became a knowledge broker in the second (obviously), but hmm... Samara is just a tool from my point of view allot like a self defined Jedi or something, but her age must be the main reason.

Cheers!

I like all of them, even my least favorite Jacob. But the new sqaudmates can't hold a candle to the originals.

Ashley over Miranda. I liked Miranda, but Ash is my girl!

Wrex and Grunt are a tie for me. My hope is that I can recruit both in ME3. I want to go into a mission with the two biggest bad ass Krogans the galaxy has ever seen by my side!

I never really like Kaidan too much. Jacob just seemed to have more personality. So Jacob.

I am a big fan of Samara. I liked how her character was developed. During my first playthrough, she was the only character that tempted me to stop being loyal to Ash. I found out in the 2nd playthrough that she turns you down anyways.

Miranda > Ash without any hesitation.

Not only because Ash is totally lame, generic, ugly, and boring, but because I love what they made with Miri. At first you hate her, she's arrogant and cold, and the more you go toward her, the more you get from her. After her loyalty mission (where her sister asks you to be "her protecting Angel", you're forced to see things differently.

And she's Yvonne, the hottest girl on earth, and now of the universe.

Grunt > Wrex. Because Wrex was too predictable, while Grunt had some surprises

Jacob > Kaidan, Kaidan is just so ridiculous...

Morinth over Liara. Morinth is definitely cool.

And her victims die with a pleasure we can't even imagine. It's better than taking a bullet if you ask me.

Kaidan vs Jacob: I didnt think I could find a squad member more boring than Kaidan... than I met Jacob: Kaidan wins

Miranda vs Ash: This is a tough one because I do like Ash a good deal, she is not a racist like everyone else thinks but I like Miranda just a little bit more so Miranda wins

Wrex vs Grunt: I love both of them but however awesome Grunt is, he is still no Wrex and WREX BETTER BE RECRUITABLE IN ME3

Liara vs. Morinth/Samara: I didn't like Liara really in ME1 she was too "nerdy" but in ME2 she had much more depth to her character and saved Shepard and I really wished I had romanced her in ME1 and Samara is cool but Liara wins this one hands down

Ashley vs. Miranda: I liked Miranda but I think Ashley simply wouldn't put up with her crap and would just b!tch-slap her.

Kaidan vs. Jacob: Kaidan whined about his headaches too much, and Jacob wanted to get loud and spill some drinks, I don't have anything against Kaidan but I think Jacob would win.

Wrex vs. Grunt: Grunt has some style, I'll give him that, but against Wrex? Wrex is a damned king among Krogan.

Liara vs. Samara: Samara has the experience, and while Liara may be good at manipulating you, she appears to have gone crazy as of recently.

Miranda > Ashley; I liked Miranda's backstory with her father actually, and the xenophobia from Ashley might have something to do with this...

Grunt > Wrex; I know I'm in the overwhelming(or underwhelming?) minority, but I was one of the few, if only that I know of, people that didn't go crazy over Wrex in ME 1. I much prefer him in ME 2 though, but still like Grunt because of the *SPOILER* tank-grown thing *SPOILER*

Kaidan > Jacob; With two of my femSheps I romanced Kaidan, having never played KOTOR(or wherever this Carth comes from), so he didn't bother me obviously. Want to know how many times I romanced Jacob? Zero.

Samara > Liara; This is an easy choice for me but I hope that they both are going to be on the squad in the next game. In the end I prefer Samara. With the crappy way they handled Liara in ME 2 combined with Samara's tragic(IMO) backstory/loyalty mission, not to mention her kick-ass biotics and the cool sequences/fights we got to watch her in, Liara didn't stand much of a chance.

Liara>Samara, but Samara is still an interesting character.

Wrex>>>>>>>>>>>Grunt.

Ashley=Miranda, as I dislike both of them equally.

Jacob>Kaidan because he gave me a bro-hug :)

Miranda >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ashley... how i loathed that bigotted ugly...thing... that Ash was. Miranda is a very interesting character. Her back story is just as well developed as Ash's, and her interactions are far more interesting. Most importantly, there isn't a trace of flirtation between Miri and FemShep... Ash's "commander" at the end of every conversation was too much.

Wrex > Grunt, but only by a VERY small margin. Grunt was suprisingly well-developed as a character, showing us the developmental stages that a VERY young Krogan go through, but of course, Wrex is a VERY old Krogan, and he's been-there-done-that. Too Cool to not win out, but Grunt has potential.

Kaiden >>>> Jacob. At first i thought Jacob would be the ME2 Kaiden, and was prepared to like him. But his attitude towards your squadmates as you recruit them paints him into a corner very similar in shape to Ashley's. He's a narrow-minded racist, (specist?) who hides it behind "suspicions about motives" At least Ash was more overt in xenophobia. Jacob is otherwise fairly "cool" so he wins out over Ash. Kaiden, voiced by one of my favourite voice actors (raphael sbarge) and with a deep, emotional background is infinitely more interesting than Jacob.

Samara > Liara. Morinth hasn't featured in a playthrough yet (As a squadmate) so won't comment on her. I think the biggest difference is Matriarch vs Maiden. Samara is at least 600 years old (does she mention how old she is, i can't recall)... more likely closer to 700 or 800. She's an EPIC level biotic. She's probably the all-round best squadmate in the game to have on your active squad. And her story is possibly the best of all the squadmates. Her intro scene is without question the best of them all. she flies. i mean, seriously, SHE FLIES. how freakin' awesome is that? Liara is still a great character, especially with the changes to her personality she's undergone. I'd like both Asari as squad options in ME3. Just as i'd like both Krogan options. Who wouldn't want either a pair of immovable obects or a pair of biotics powerful enough they could move those objects, in your active squad?

Miranda>Ashley -I like Ashley more than Miranda but because Miranda has a variety of skills I'm going with her

Wrex>Grunt-Wrex isn't just a krogan he's a fricking battlemaster, Grunt for the most part is like any other krogan albeit a pure one, however that helps. In the end I say Wrex wins because of experience Grunt may be a badass but Wrex is more than a badass he's THE badass of the krogan.

Jacob>Kaidan-Jacob might be bland to some people but well I think Joker put it best when he said "Jacob's way too nice of a guy for the number of ways he knows how to kill people." Kaidan I like because he's voiced by one of my favorite VAs and while I like talking to him sometimes he feels a little too a by the book then again so does Jacob but at least Jacob can become more than that soldier who'll watch your back, he becomes a more like your brother if you put the stock in him.

Liara/Samara>Morinth- Liara felt like a wallflower at times but talking to her made her stand out more as well her personality change and the fact that she worked with Cerberus and put up with Miranda(read the comic). Samara I just think is a great character, all she's experienced and the sacrifice she's made to make the galaxy a better place. Morinth, I've never used but I'll just say I like living through a romance.

Ashely > Miranda

Wrex > Grunt

Liara > Samara(slighty) > Morinth. Samara becomes more and more interesting each time you talk to her but Liara is more accessible and went through a lot to save shepard

Ok I don't get how you see Jacob as a specist/racist, he's never shown any sign of it, hell Miranda shows more signs of it than anyone else on the ship when you meet Tali at Freedom's Progress where she defends Cerberus like usual. Jacob never really has an attitude for anyone cept for Thane because he doesn't trust mercenaries/assassins which Thane is. Which I can understand more or less because hell more than half your enemies in ME2 are mercenaries!

Miranda over ashley anyday, mainly because ashley was an ass.

Jacob over Kaiden simply because he was a much more interesting character, Kaiden's cool, but he was thrown off as one of the "minor characters". (I noticed certain chars had less attention paid to them.)

I'm sort of neutral on Wrex and Grunt, they are both badasses.

As for Samara/Morinth over Liara....I an't be sure as in I JUST recruited her (like last night).

I have to ask, where are all those Blue Suns recruits coming from? I mean after a few "hundreds of mercs just got their asses pwned the other day by three people" broadcasts on the news, there must be a shortage of recruits. after that.

I think Ashley could take Miranda. I also think Miranda could beat Ashley. It would be dependant on the environment and where they are situated when the fight starts. But with ME2's hatred of biotics I'll have to give the win to Ashley.

Wrex would beat Grunt because he is a battlemaster. He is bigger than Grunt, more experienced, just as tough if not tougher, but his is what really sets him apart. Biotics make Wrex superior.

I Think Jacob could take Kaidan. Kaidan has always struck me as "weak".

Samara was at this before Liara a nervous switch in Benezia's sympathic system. Realistically, Liara should not be anywhere near Samara's capabilities.

The problem with such a comparison is I don't know what a ME2 version the ME1 squaddies would be. I have no clue what skills Kaidan would have. I assume very similar to Miranda. Technically, any ME1 character would beat any ME2 character based solely on having superior capabilities (i.e equal to Shepard).

Picking one over the over based on personality:

Tali Image IPB
Ashley
Jacob
Wrex
I will not chose between Samara and Liara.

Hm.

Wrex> Grunt. Wrex actually has a back story. I still like Grunt, but Wrex is superior.

Ashley=Miranda. Both are human supremest ****es.

Kaiden=Jacob. Both boring. Only Jacob's black.

Samara>Liara. Simply put. Samara is actually trained to use biotics. And wasn't a **** to me.

I'm still trying to figure out who would win in Tali vs. Tali, and Garrus vs. Garrus.

ME1 Garrus > ME2 Garrus by virtue of not sufferring from a case of the poor me's
ME2 Tali = ME1 Tali by virtue of me not noticing a difference in character
