However, there is one thing keeping me from using it. It is again the language. I now own the UK version of Mass Effect 2 but I if I download the DLC from there, what language will it be in? Last time I checked there was only Zaed and the Crash site, and it was listed in english, but once I wanted to access it, it had the German title. I don't believe I will be so lucky that the DLC is multilingual so I didn't download it yet. Any of you guys got any info on that? Did someone playing an english game download anything from there?

Hello everbody, I started the game and so far everything worked purrrrfectly (did you see that? I'm so happy I'm not even ashamed of Catwoman puns
). Importing worked perfectly 3 times in a row, saving works and I have access to the Cerberus Network. Yay for me!

I have the exact same problem but with the DLC appearing in french altough I own the UK version of the game. Could a mod clear this up for us? Thanks.
My gamertags location is Belgium thus I guess if I change it to United Kingdom it could solve the problem?
I didn't dare downloading it yet because I've had issues with the pinnacle station DLC for the exact same reason (my game was in french and the DLC was in english, never worked)

I'd think that setting location to UK would fix your problm. I know a lot of my friends download Japanese exclusives by having their Gamertags set to Japan, so I'd imagine the content is all localised to your gamertag, including DLC. It'd be nice to hear confirmation one way or another on this though.

Well, sadly I can confirm that changing my gamertag location to UK didn't change a thing. You have to wait several hours before the change is actually made but my location is confirmed to be UK now (http://profile.mygamercard.net/shoogoo) and the DLC is still appearing in french.
I entered the cerberus code with the gamertage location to BE. Maybe it recorded this data and it won't change a thing if I change my location now?
What to do? This is annoying.

Complain directly?

Could you direct me to the exact location I should "complain"?
I'm having such a blast with this game that I hate using the word complain when it comes to ME.
Thanks for your help buddy.

I think we've been "complaining directly" for weeks now in this Forums.
But I guess it's worth a try and write BioWare and/or EA again about it. The game's big enough so that I can keep on playing without the DLC.

GNinja, did you try changing your Live IDs location?

You already tried it, didn't you? It's also my one account and I don't want to come MS coming down on me / my account because I violated their terms.
Besides, that not solving the problem. I downloaded Bring Down the Sky in English for my UK Mass Effect 1 and since I own a UK Mass Effect 2 I would expect BioWare to do the same again. I mean come on: that has to be even easier then releasing a voice-over file.

Yes, I tried it with no luck. Was just wondering.
I can't believe we would be the only 2 people to be in that case. A lot of people buy their games off UK websites, where are they?

Have you tried downloading it? Maybe it's multilingual? I can download all the armor and weapons and it's explained in English.

So I send an email to BioWare support. Immedeatly after that I got an automated response that technical difficulties should be forwarded to Xbox.com, but I doubt I'll get any help there.

Nope, didn't try
I figured as much; maybe we're just waiting for nothing. But better safe than sorry, I say. If I download the Normandy crash site and it's in french, chances are that I won't be able to download it again.
So you downloaded the latest DLC (armor and shotgun thing) and it was in english altough the description was in german?

Hey guys,
I've got the UK-version of ME2. But I use the german live and yes, the DLCs like Zaheed and Normandy Crashsite works perfectly with my copy. Again, in the c. network it's shows in german but ingame the content is all in english.
Grab it and have fun.

Just a heads up: I don't like Zaeed.

Has anyone tried the Kasumi DLC yet? Since it is available over the marketplace I fear that this time it will only have a single language. Haven't tried it yet though, a friend has my Mass Effect atm.

I'm in Germany and use a 360 I bought here. I have set the system's language to English.
I also have an English-language PAL version of ME2.
Zaeed, Kasumi, Normandy crash site, blood dragon armor, the Dr Pepper headgear... they're all completely in English for me.

Thanks for the info. So you downloaded Kasumi from the German Marketplace and it was in English? Because I have the UK Version as well.

I think I downloaded Kasumi in-game, not over the marketplace. I don't know it that affects the languages.

I wasn't aware that's possible. Do you mean over the Cerberus network in the main menu?
#23
Posté 09 avril 2010 - 08:16
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I got Kasumi over Cerberus.
#24
Posté 09 avril 2010 - 10:46
Yeah, I can confirm that (except for Kasumi, haven't downloaded that yet). The downloads appear in german, but the in-game language is english (which I guess means that the DLCs are multi-lingual).StanojeZ wrote...

It worked with Zaeed, but I wasn't sure about Kasumi since it's also offered over the marketplace. Thanks for the info in any case. I'm really looking forward to the DLC.
