Oh, this I have to respond to. Making Tali a romance for a female Shepard (or any love interest a same sex romance option) at this point (that is, post game release) will not change the dynamics of any of them if you don't like it. At this point, if we get same sex romances in Mass Effect 2 it will be from an optional DLC that no one has to download. So nothing will change for you or anyone else dead set against it.

No. Bioware decides who is and isn't bisexual. If Tali isn't bisexual, get over it. There are no arguments for Tali being bisexual besides stereotyping sexuality.

This just means the only alternative is Tali being shallow and/or inconsistent. She wants Shephard to look behind her mask, won't do the same for him/her, ignores that he's an ass xenophobe while only looking at gender, etc...

Wow.  You seem to be making the arguement that an individuals sexual orientation is a something they can change at a whim.
People don't suddenly change their sexual orientation if they end up in a friendship with someone of a different sexual orientation, who happens to be attracted to them.

It is interesting reading people's replies. Most are against an option that would not affect them at all.

You need fem shep voice actor to read male shep lines. done.

I would like the option to romance Tali with my femShep. I am sorry if my preference offends you.

and romance does not mean have sex with. I couldnt care less if they include the sex scene.

agree and no tali being suddendly being bixesual would just kill the game for me and for many people, so these bi people should just get over it, its kind of creepy/disturbing in a way.

You're not taking into consideration the fact that heterosexuals are inherently attracted to the opposite sex. You can find someone sexually attractive even if you despise that person for whatever reason. Conversely, you can admire someone but just not find that person sexually attractive. Logic is not equivalent to romance. Your argument presupposes that sexual attraction is a function of logical reasoning when, in fact, the two are not related.

I am not offended, but why do we need yet another female Shepard plus female character pairing?

Why besides it would be cool or you would like it.

I wouldn't call it most. It may seem like that, but if you goes by polls then more people want same sex romances period than do not want them. It's all relative, I for one will not claim to know the statistics on the issue. Best guess is, most people are apathic but would download a DLC featuring it if it only cost a few bucks (or was free).

One character having a possible lesbian romance option would kill the game for you?

What is it with the gay threads these days.

Tali is straight. Garrus is straight.

Get over it.

Naltair (according to your sig), you are the one reaping the benefit of the Tali romance supporters of the first game. Yet you'll try to deny to others a similiar benefit. Hypocrite?

I would if it added new actual content and not just added recycled content, meaning dialog, to the current romances.

I think the point was made. She is very interested in whatever sex you play as. Except one gets you in bed with her. I feel most characters should have Fem Shep and Male Shep options. i aint saying all of them! I cant imagine Miranda, Jacob, Kaiden, Ashley, Garrus or Wrex (though sadly just a tease) as bi options. Point taken, I guess I agree duh.... uh... yeah.

Hahaha... what?  What polls are this?  Are you really grabbing some big demopgraic here?  Come on buddy... Come on...  Let's be real here.  I'm not against them putting in homsexual stuff, but am I FOR it?   That's what you'll get by "Most"  I'm sure most people don't  care if there is same sex romance, but most are not for it.  Most just arn't against it.  There is a HUGE diffrence.   I mean f'n Huge!

Oh man I better remove my sig because I like a character.

If you read my posts in general I have no qualms with her changing in the future it's the notion of right now there is something wrong.  On top of that my actual stance is that adding yet another same sex female romance of any type does nothing to rectify the omission of a same sex romance for Male Shepard.

Content I personally will not indulge in but feel should be there since they made the content available for female Shepard.

I don't find anything of value in doing yet another female + female romance in ME.

Bah?

Anyway, even they just added the same romance lines for Tali or Thane to the female or male Shepard, it would impact the game more than the gun and armor we got today. While it technically would not be "new" content, it would alter a player's game as much as a new planet or mission would.

It just feels like it is there, but Bioware didnt follow through. Feelings are hard to quantify or argue with thogh, so i got nothing.

I made a mistake I meant I would be downloading it, if they added new art assets, content, dialog, and not just repurposed dialog and additions to what we have.  New characters and all that.

I can't see paying for additional dialog I will never see.  Bleh I just would rather have a more significant DLC if I had to pay for it.

If it was free then I would not care either way.

Not excatly but it would just be disturbing if a female shep is just trying to be  best friend and tali just suddenly becomes bi on you, ofcourse gay romance would be WAY worse since the main shep i play first is male.

Plus for you bi people out there the actors (voice actors) wouldnt feel comfortbale acting gay/lesbian if they actually arent, keep that in mind. they would for the money but there is a chance they might not and feel akward about it.

Yeah, I saw that you changed your post after I posted. Anyway, the beauty of a DLC is that if you don't want it, you do not have to get it. A same sex romance DLC would have more limited appeal than others (but not by much), and would have as much an impact on the game as new characters or missions for people who download it. Reusing the same lines and content already in the game streamlines the process and allows BioWare to make it without taking away resources from other DLCs. Unless, of course, they plan to add more material to the romances in general and release this along side that. Anyway, the point is is that no one would be forced to have "their" characters altered.

Hey, I guess that would be kind of like Shepard trying to talk to Tali, and suddenly finding out she's wanted to sleep with him since the first game, regardless of how he treated her.

It'd be crazy

Agreed if they did it would depend on if they made it free or made it for money.

Personally if they did go back and make current characters in a DLC it should be free they should not make people pay for something that should have been there in the game anyways.

I don't see it happening but if they did this is how it should be.

I think it should be free too; however, I also know how the fans whole want this feel (being somewhat connected to them and all) and I know how businesses work.

Since people seemed to skip it entirely I'll post it again.

It's all fine, but Bioware has a finite of time and money. The only
argument really coming up is that people would like to see it. So what
people want Bioware to do is
*Go back and change ME2
*Continuation in ME3
*Possibly create yet another romance option for males to balance the options
*Retcon Tali's character in the process
Do I think Bioware should spend their energy, time and money on this?

No.

That said, of course it's up to them. I'd personally prefer a more focused experience. Fewer and higher quality romances is the way to go IMO.
