Why Tali Should Be a Female Romance (OPTION)

Considering she's of a different species and can fall for the commander, I don't think being male or female would matter at all if she can look past that other major point lol...
I'm with DB, if it can make another persons play more enjoyable and doesn't really change your game why exclude it?

It's funny that the same 5 anti-fem/tali members are FAR AND AWAY the most active posters in this topic.
Tali will be to you only what you make of her. If you play a hetero male, she's not a bi-sexual romance option. If you play a female interested in her, she is. Win and win. You lose nothing, except the knowledge that somebody, somewhere, is now enjoying something you don't personally like.
If Bioware gets a large enough request for M/M romance they should do that too. Stop working AGAINST your fellow fans, we're all in the same boat, we should stick together to try to make sure that ME3 is everything it should be, with a wide enough net to satisfy the most interested parties.
Also, stop trying to invalidate someone's preference just because you don't like their reasons for it. They have JUST as much validity as yours, and working against such is just being a ******. If someone wants to REMOVE something you like from the game, by all means, retort. If they want to ADD something that you'll never have to see... WHY CARE?
After reading all the discussions pro and con for this part of game, however small a "quest" it may be. I have not seen one person with the opposite point of view resort to calling anyone a name of any sort. Calling someone a name just because they donot share your belief does nothing to serve to further your point any shape or form.
That being said I happen to believe that in a sci-fi / action / rpg, sexual relationships of any kind one way or another, don't have any place. FFS for lack of a better descriptive term this game is a "bug hunt" we kill things and rescue innocents from the proverbial bad guy. If you want to play house of one kind or another buy a "sim" game.

Naltair, it's clear from your topics of interest (google linked above) you are highly motivated to post in regards to relationships in game. So I have trouble understanding your motivation to rail against this specific request.

I as a person can't have a preference in what I like to post?
Why does it matter where I post? If I feel that other aspects of the game are fine and I feel this merits discussion then why does it matter? I add my two cents when I feel something is interesting.
I post in these threads because they are interesting, because there is a certain level of hypocrisy that astounds me with these posts.
The general inclination that female + female relationships are a standard for female characters but male + male relationships are not a standard.
That is what I rail against.
I also do not believe that some magical DLC or patch is needed to fix orientation because this is all speculative and subjective and not everyone would even been happy with Tali as their female + female choice.
But compared to male Shepard, female Shepard's same sex choices are light years ahead.

I am not against same sex relationships in fact I think BioWare could do better by including one for male Shepard who has no options. I find posts that posit blank should be a a same sex LI as self serving since most are for yet another same sex female LI.Destructo-Bot wrote...

Overall I have to agree with the OP in that Tali shouldn't fall in love with Shepard if he is a xenophobe and treated her badly in Mass Effect 1 or 2, that was a mistake on Bioware's part.
At the same time, I think they assumed that most people who are fans liked Tali, even if not as a romance option, and most likely did all of the sidequests in their canon playthrough which meant giving her the Geth technology.
Still would see making Tali bisexual as retconning, especially at this point and time.
Keep her and Garrus heterosexual, bring new characters to please the homosexual males.
And females.

Not to mention that not everyone in the universe is homosexual! Sexual relations is not all about what goes on in our head; people seem to have some idealistic wish that we can simply turn off our physical impulses...it doesn't work that way.

Dude, STFU. He can make counter posts to the OP's argument without being a ******. The reason?
Let's say there's the off chance that the devs actually read this thread. Without posters making it clear that there's opposition to this horrible idea then they'd probably take it as everyone wants it and is okay with it. As someone who see's this entire idea as a load of horse ****, I have every right to rebuke it and show the devs that there's just as much opposition to this as there is support.

Oh sorry, you lose the ephemeral purity of a character in your own mind because it will ruin EVERYTHING about the game for you forever even if you never have to experience it. My bad.
I also like some of the other "against" posters logic here. They have "support Tali as a romance" in their sigs, or have posted to that effect, and then... Someone else: "Yes, I would like femshep to romance Tali"; them: "NO NO NO NO, boys only!" My way or the highway much?
Anyway, you kids have your fun.

Quit being a hypocrite. What I'm doing is not more selfish than the putz's demanding that Bioware change how they've already designed a character.
And I can be irritated about potential retcon if I certainly want to. I'm against retcon of any kind in this game. If they want to experience it, then play Male Shepard. Just like how if I want to get with Garrus or Thane, I have to play a femShep. It's not a hard concept to grasp, GD.
And thanks, I will have my fun.

While I personally am heavily in favor of a FemShep/Tali romance, generally because I prefer Jennifer Hale as a voice actress, I have appreciated reading Naltair's posts, even though they were generally against the idea. See, the difference between Naltair and you, Brahlis, is that he always stays civil in his arguments, while you frequently brutally assault those who have differing opinions with sarcasm and insults. Generally you both are on the same side, but after sifting through 21 pages I have found that I have the utmost respect for Naltair and absolutely none for you. So, in short, "dude": you should STFU... and also GTFO.
Now, time to get off the topic of how much I've come to dislike Brahlis. As previously mentioned, I personally would love to have Tali as a romancable option for my FemShep. I did suck it up and play through with a MaleShep in order to be with her (also for a mainly Renegade playthrough... though I was always nice to her), but I still find I would have preferred to romance her with my FemShep. I have no quotes or evidence to back up my point, but I'll just say that in my playthrough it seemed to me that it is quite safely within Tali's character to be bisexual, and therefore I'm rather disappointed the developers didn't allow for that option. Alas. My only hope is DLC or ME3, and both seem slim.
I'd like to agree with Naltair, however, in that I think M/M relationships should be available in the series. As we've all been over ten-thousand times, though the Asari are monogendered they do indeed still have a female form, and thus for the player the F/F demographic is already adequately pandered to. Therefore, as far as equality goes, there is little of it (i.e. 'none') in the current homosexual/bisexual relationship arena. I think it would be nice if this were fixed, though to be honest the selfish part of me that wants FemShep/Tali is bigger and would much preferred being pandered to. XD
I think that's about all I want to say. I tend to ramble, so if I post again then that should continue to be expected...Oh! Except I'd like to make a relatively quick comment towards trigger2kill1's post. If you truly believe sexual relationships of any kind have no place in Mass Effect then you clearly have no business playing this game. It is not 'playing house' to become romantically involved with your fellow teammates - it is just another wonderful layer on the RPG cake that Bioware has been gracious enough to serve us. Also: metaphors can be fun. And delicious.

I really don't care if you think I'm a ******. I really, really could not care less. My points have all been made and are valid regardless of how I come off to you. Both sides are stubborn, which causes tempers to flare and less than flattering behavior. Accept it.
Though, Naltair is best at rebuking and keeping his cool. I could learn from him, yes.

And I do accept it. Both sides have had their share of '******'ish moments. You've simply supplied the most, in my opinion. You certainly could learn from Naltair. But I must admit that on this page in particular you've been much better than you had been previously. Perhaps you've calmed down or something, I don't know.
Ugh, my rambling... My final point: I'd love to keep things civil if you will. Think I'll just end with that.
