When I landed in Eletania in ME1, they described the world as not colonisable due to presence of microorganisms in the air that have a symbiotic relationship with the local fauna.......
So I'm wondering how does the pyjacks survive in an otherwise normal envirement in ME2.

Eg. The bacteria H.pylori which lives in our stomachs thrives in an acidic environment, so if the stomach was made less acidic by means of drugs, the bacteria will die.

Perhaps the symbiotic relationship between pyjacks and the Eletanian microorganisms is commensal.
