My least favorite: humans, because there humans
My second to least favorite: the big stupid jellyfish (hanar), No personality, No way to tell one from the other, I still haven't seen one walk, and they are uncreative.
third least favorite: Elcor they talk to slow
My most favorite: Quarians, good backstory and never met a quarian I didn't like. Them and krogan are almost tied for favorite
My second favorite: Krogan, There culture is very interesting when you look past the basics and go to tuchanka. There culture always gets my intrest. Not to mention they have people like wrex, those people talking about fish, and grunt. They also give 2 reasons why they are as agressive as they are and instead of saying theyre angry because they can be.
Third favorite: Volus, don't know why
You don't have to list as many as me but what do you think?
Your most and least favorite species

I like the Quarians the most, but i also like Asari, Turians, Salarians. God, i'm as full of love as Kelly Chambers... I wouldn't say that i dislike a sentinent species. Except for the Vorcha. Do they even count? Damn Varrens with guns.

Favourite: Salarian
It's nice to have an alien species that is alien to us. They contract their reproduction, live short lives, have a decent amount of development and thought put into their species and are involved in a number of interesting moral situations (like the genophage).
Least Favourite: Asari
They don't make a lot of sense, their culture (supposedly their biggest asset) is elusive or non-existent in the game, they had the greatest opportunity for foreign thought and philosophy but have been unsurprising in their collective unconscious and appear to be used, more often than not, as fan service instead of an interesting medium for exploring gender preconceptions.
Hanar are kinda neat. I'd like to know more about them and why they were considered to be the next candidate to join Citadel Council before humans appeared on the scene. Humanity's claim to fame is a little silly scientifically too (genetic diversity, ha).

I never said they even had to be sentient. So yes they count and so do varren and space monkeys, but you have to give an explanation on why you like or dislike them.Forst1999 wrote...

Oh man, it'd be hard for me to pick a favorite. I think all of the races have at least something going for them. Volus, batarian, vorcha, hanar, quarian, drell, krogan, elcor--all of them have something that makes them interesting and unique! If I had to choose a favorite, it'd be a hard toss-up between the salarians and the turians. Both of them are interesting in their behavior and society.Salarian biology, philosophy, and society is very different and very interesting. Turians, likewise, have a very rigid and unusual structure to the their society. They're just as interesting.
I also hap open to find both races aesthetically pleasing. Giant salamander people and space birds for the win!
On a whole, the asari race would be my least favorite. Bioware has admitted that the basis behind them was basically to make a race of space-babes, and a race of space-babes is not all that interesting. On a whole, they're too much like SPACE ELVES to me. Long-lived, beautiful, magical (natural-born biotics). They're the best at everything, and they're just not as interesting, on a whole.
That isn't to say I don't like individual asari. I love Samara to death, as well as Liara (though her shift in personality is disconcerting), and the bar tending asari on Illium is one of my favorite NPCs of Mass Effect 2. It's just the concept on their race as a whole that is off-putting.

Favourite: Turian - Nicely militarised.
Least Favourite: Vorcha - they are just pests, and I love my bug spray.

Not sure which is my favourite. Salarians, Turians and Quarians rate pretty high, for various reasons.
For least favourite, I'd have to say that the Asari and the Vorcha share that place.

Favourite: Turians, with the Quarians and Salarians close behind.
Least favourite: Vorcha. They look and sound like what happens when you feed a Gungan after midnight.

Favorite: Krogan ... Though some Asari prove to be the coolest characters in the game.
Least? Ah... Turian. The Turian Councillor ruined them for me.

Favorite: Volus & Krogan, because they are hilarious and awesome in their own ways. Volus make me laugh and Krogan are just bros
Least Favorite: Asari, for reasons people have mentioned... Just a typical boring haughty "superior in every way" sort of race

Least favourite - Humans easily. Awful creatures.
Favourite - Turians. They have a sense of honour instilled into them.

I've yet to meet a Hanar that wasn't an exceptionally pleasing shade of pink. Don't ask.
I love Volus, they crack me up. The only one I thought I would dislike let me replay a scene from Pulp Fiction, so he's still on the books.
The only species I can't stand is Vorcha. There is no better sensation than setting one of the filthy bastards on fire and then flinging it across the room.
Only slightly less do I loathe Batarians. I hate their creepy eyes, and they are all untrustworthy. I did feel a little pity for the sick ones, which is why I hate the Vorcha more.

i find elchoor abit dull, but maybe that was the point. Otherwise I think they are all interesting. The asari are probably my least favourite of the rest. As they do seem a little off base considering their life spans, supposed culture etc.

Favorite: Quarians. They're interesting, have a cool backstory, created a whole new race, and the womenz have nice legs.
Least Favorite: Vorcha. What purpose do they serve other than to be annoying and cannon fodder?

I like 'em all, 'cept the Volus when they're not a comedic foil. And that happens once in the series.

Except for their councilor, I'm a big fan of Turians. Quarians are a close second.
Personally, I can't stand the Volus in any way. I loved telling that one volus off on the citadel after I found his credit chit, and even on my Paragon shep, I sent the "biotic god" volus in charging.
