I like the Krogans. They are rough and not very friendly; but they are directly and spontaneous.

So they are very sympathic to me.



And i like the Quarians

I dislike Asari immensely. They just come across as bland to me and they only seem to be there to be pretty and offer some girl-on-girl action.



My favorite is a split between Turians and Quarians. I really like the design on the Turians as well as their general personality. Honor and discipline stuff always sits well with me. As for Quarians I really like the Geth dilemma as well as their armor suits. Hope to see more variation on it.

Most favourite: Hanar
I like their ethereal nature, haughtiness and generally refined behaviour. That and their communication through bioluminescence, and lack of humanoid features. They're not your typical sci-fi alien, but they're still lovable.

Least Favourite: Batarian
I do feel sympathy for some characters, but in general I find their species to be irritating.

Most Favorite: Humans of course.

Least Favorite: Elcor... My gosh their voice is boring.

It's hard to pick racial preference, because there is outlying personalities in each race.



I hate how stuck up and power hungry Humanity is. Yet Captain Bailey is just pure win.



Asari are always so "I live for 1k years, I > U lolz" but Aria and the Eternity Bartender seem almost remorseful about long lives where there's always at least 1 galactic war.



Krogan are almost a "Stock" race of KILL KILL KILL, but Wrex and the Patriarch are both calculating and fairly liberal by Krogan standards.



Elcor are Snorefests, but I can't help but fall down laughing on Omega when I hear. "Restrained Exasperation: Come to my store, it's not just boring junk, anymore."



Turians are the embodiment of republican idealism. Yet Garrus seems to be one of the most conflicted and rebellious characters in the game.



Salarians have the Superiority complex going for them, but Mordin is a charming take on what, if done wrong, would have been a dreadful experience of dialog exchange. He knows enough to know his race is as limited as any other, but just limited differently.



The Geth were basically "It's not a real living thing, so shoot with impunity" stock enemy (Which the Vorcha more or less gleefully fill now) but in exchanging dialog with the "Real" geth, you learn, that you're talking to basically a philosophical issue.



That leaves the newcommers, the Drell and the Vorcha, which we don't really know much about. Aside from Emo(But still pretty cool) Thane and "TELL CAPTAIN GAVORN WE NOT KILL ANYONE TODAY!!!!"



So I guess Vorcha by default are my least favorite at least, the favorite, not so clear cut.

Most favourite: Turians. Mostly due to Garrus, even though he is possibly the worst Turian you can find.



Least favourite: The Volus. Look, I'm sorry, but that credit chit guy was such an ass, and completely ruined the species for me. Hell, I probably would have shot him myself, if I wasn't on the Citadel and would have had to shoot that C-Sec douche as well. (They're both even worse if you have Tali in your party.)



P.S. I have no problems with shooting the C-Sec guy, he's a xenophobe, and I would have done it with pride. I'm just afraid about starting an incident with C-Sec.

Ha, that C-sec guy was a douche, if there was an option to shoot him, I would have been right there with you.

My favorite species......it's a three way tie, I'm sorry to say. Turians, Drell and Humans.

Turians because they seen very diverse and have a sort of "charm" to them. I rather enjoy the Rodam salesman, how he ducks behind the counter, made me laugh.

Drell because they seem very spiritual, and that transitions well throughout the story. Thane especially.

Humans: Well, because you can find a personal connection with each of them. 


My least favorite species is the Vorcha, they're all jerks.

There were no Rachni in ME2.

Favorite: Prothean, because they are so mysterious and are modelled after the space jock in Alien.

Least favorite: Asari. It felt like the took some pre-teen males idea," Hey, imagine an monogendered alien race that were all hot human-looking women so lesbianism could run rampant in the videogame for me to masterbate to."
 
I HATE when aliens are made to look like humans, especially when its so blatantly obvious that the devs wanted to add lesbian erotica to their game and get away with it by saying they were monogendered race.

Why not make them all human-looking MALES? Or why even bother modelling them after female humans? I wouldn't have a problem if the Asari were all female and looked NOTHING like humans...

Most favorite (other than humans): Asari. because they are wise, ageless, elegant, seductive and formidable. They are smart enough to outsmart a salarian and tough enough to take out a krogan. They are the wisest and most advanced of all of the races and the most empathetic and compassionate.

Least favorite: Krogan. the Krogans are big, dumb, chest pounding oxen


Now,  a quick word about the other races.

Drell: I don't know enough about them. I don't want to judge the whole race based on the 1 drell that i met. 

Vorcha: mindless. they are barely a step above animals. they are the most primative sentient alien race in mass effect.

Elcor: Boring. uninteresting.

Salarians: one of my favorite races! Smart, entertaining, sarcastic but  funny. Mordin was my favorite character in ME2.

Batarians: Basically a race of playa' haters. Just bitter all day every day. their  personality is unpleasant, but i think they make for interesting characters so I dig the concept. Galactic playa' haters.

Quarians: i dig the whole Batlestar galactica angle. This race seems thought out and interesting.  the conflict between the quarians and the geth is really interesting.

Geth: i like the geth. Diologue with them is facinating. Legion was very well written.

Volus: generic  Businessmen
Hanar: generic religious types

Turians: Miliant, disciplined. Those two words go pretty far in describing the basic turian attributes but the Turians aren't as generic as the Hanar or the volus. Out of everyone on the squad in ME2, Garrus feels the most like a real friend and buddy to shepard and not just someone he's on a mission with. The witty banter, the sese of humor. I wish they gave Garruis more diologue in ME2 because he was definitely cooler in ME2 than he was in ME1.

That's what I've thought too. Definitely a blend of Japan and Rome.
Favorite: Elcor; the only race I wouldn’t mind being part
of. Stable government, a unique communication style that uses voiced moods to
speak to those outside their species (I wish I could talk like that in real
like. Misunderstandings screw me over) and an assumed better society in my opinion
based on all that. Of course they sound boring and it’s hard to take them

Guilty Pleasure: Krogan; I’m a softie for warriors and tanks
so I love these guys. Their looks, their gruff demeanors and speeches. I was
well liked on Tuchanka. But I need to see a female Krogan before I’m totally
satisfied.

Wtf?!: Vorcha; what the hell. And I thought Batarians were
scary the first time I saw them in BDtS! I would say these are my less favorite
if I didn’t pity them so much.

I’m surprised
so many people dislike the Asari. I admit though in the first game I sorta
viewed them as sexy, long living, intellectuals. Plus the idea of mind sex was
awesome. I guess since all other species seem deprived of females in the
foreground, I have a liking to the Asari. An all “female” gang? Awesome! Asari
Commandos? Awesome as long as I’m not in the glitch fest. Asari are a bit of
fanservice but so is Miranda’s ass. Course I’m not complaining.

Whats wrong with Vorcha? Best for me have a Vorca mercs in my team then bunch of stupid looking leotard dressed "Jacobs and Tanes". Its not bloody circus or hippie fest around here, its a war. No offence;)

"What the hell" was my first reaction to seeing one. The face. The voice. XD I don't really have an opinion on them yet though because we haven't been shown anything good about them. >.> I mean, we see that face, try to talk to it and frustrate it enough to walk off. Then we kill a bunch of them in the Blood Pack and see them litter the slums of Omega. Of course we're going to dislike them.



I used to hate Batarians until I helped that one during Mordin's mission. We just need some good old interaction like that and maybe people will like Vorcha more. Till then what the hell! XD

I never said they were IN ME2, did I?  I said I like them especially AFTER ME2.   Depending on what you did in ME1 you may find something out.  What I found out made me like them more.

Favorite : hmm quarians because have the most fleshed out back story and you really get a good sense of them yet they feel so mysterious due to not knowing what they look like. krogan and salarians are my next favorites because wrex and mordin are awesome.

Least Favorite : Vorcha... felt like a last minute addition.
