great vids. im trying  to advance through the collector ship on insanity, but i cant seem to drop shields and armor nearly as quickly. i have heavy warp, and heavy sing (and energy drain). im not fully upgraded in biotics, but i do have blood dragon armor. im having a tough time with the husks even though miranda has area warp and grunt in maxed out krogan, fortification, incinerate ammo! it looks so easy on the vids. in the game, not so much!

a typical husk horde encounter goeslike this: OH OH! a lot of husks.i fire off a h sing, miranda(with no delay) throws an area warp. 3/4of shields on 3/4 of the horde.  so there all still rushing me. i send grunt up front with fort to distract asmany as possible. i chuck another h warp.miranda is still in cooldown while were both backpedeling. meanwhile grunt has taken out two or three and is down to health. i press c to regroup while still backpedaling(while firing the hand cannon to strp armor from the closest husk).  i throw another warp that catches 3 , unfortunately 3 more are after me!. grunt bites the dust while in retreat mode.  miranda strips off the armor of the remaining 3. i melee while my biotics cool down. miranda shoots into the horde and then i die!

in your vids youre stripping the armor off of an entire horde before they even threaten you. how do you do it?

The vindicator assault rifle is a beast at stripping away armor. By far the best gun for the job if you ask me.

Part 3 / The Platforms, Boss intro

My favorite part of the game. Nothing like sweet multi-kills on the platforms.

You'll notice I totally mis-guessed the time it would take me to kill the final boss, so I had to just arbitrarily end the video. But it picks up in the next section at the very next moment. Enjoy.

AverageGatsby is aceing the IFF mission because of Throw. Throw instantly kills Husks that have no armor, and it doesn't matter what level your Throw is, either. Level 1 Throw will do it. Throw Field will insta-kill every Husk in the radius that does not have armor.

So...

Singularity for stalling, guns and Incineration Blast for stripping Armor, Throw for the kill. Note that Average Gatsby brought along Thane for Throw. You can use squaddie Throw for kills, too. Mordin Incineration Blast + Thane Throw Field + your Throw Field makes the mission pretty easy.

  Part 4 / Boss Fight

I kill the Boss, save the galaxy, and get ready to head back to punch that quote fingers Turian in the face. Enjoy.

I had no idea you were doing something like this until a couple hours ago when I started watching them Gatsby, but your videos are great and showed me something I hadn't noticed before with singularity.

I've already beaten the game with everything but engineer (which I am currently working on now) but I will certainly be looking forward to more videos on other things if you do them, even if its nothing more then entertainment.

By the way, what was voted on next, class wise? I checked the poll and it was something about sniper rifles.

It was between Assault Sentinel and Engineer, and Engineer won out by a coin toss because the vote was tied and bugged (The last 12 votes couldn't be counted).

That works. Personally I am finding that the engineer is one heck of a sleeper class. Being tali and mordin all in one really opens up squad mate variations for putting the hurt on things in triplets. I'm already thinking a tali/legion combo would be halarious with triple bomb/combat drones.

Hey Gatsby,
I know that you are more than likely past that point but can you do the Tali Loyalty Mission? I'm having real trouble with that one.

But I'm fine with getting tips(much easier for you haha) but either way works.
Thanks :)

P.S. Keep up your awesome vids!

Average Gatsby:

Kudos on the Suicide Mission run. Nice use of Throw on the platforms. Totally approve. Unstable Warp performs better on that mission because of the platforms - it's easier to catch and blast out multiple Collectors with an Unstable Warp because of the greater area. You don't need to kill them, after all. You just need to penetrate the Barriers and throw them off the side of the platform Unstable Warp can do that.

You noted a miss on one instance of Warp Explosion and you often have to wait for the enemy to clear the walls for a clear shot, or so you can catch more enemies. Easier with Unstable Warp. You don't need to kill them anyway - once the Barriers are down, you can use Thane to Throw them off, or use your own Throw for the insta-kill. Like Husks, except using Unstable Warp instead of gunfire.

He usually shows his stats at the beginning of each vid. If you want the end build, I highly suggest you watch his Suicide Run vids.

But just to save you some time, here is his lvl 30 build with his allies which he uses for the Suicide Run:

-------------------------------------------------------------
Shepard - With Assault Rifle Bonus Skill :

Heavy Warp(maxed)
Heavy Throw(maxed)
Heavy Singularity(maxed)
Pull Field(maxed)
Shockwave lvl1
Nemesis (maxed Adept class-specific)
Energy Drain lvl 0

Samara:
Throw lvl 3
Pull lvl 2
Sapiens Justicar (maxed character-specific)
Area Reave (maxed)

Thane:
Throw lvl 3
Unstable Warp(maxed)
Drell Marksman (maxed character-specific)
Shredder Ammo lvl1

-------------------------------------------------------------

Hope that helped :)

I greatly enjoyed your videos. The early ones inspired me to make my own adept, which I used for my first insanity play through. It was fun looking at how you did missions after I'd completed them to see how we differed.

I don't think you can emphasize enough how import it is to create synergy with your squad as an adept. I actually found that my favorite all around squad was Jacob and Miranda. Both of their powers are very useful and they are the only ones to get that extra point at 30 so they can max out all of their non-bonus skills. Jacob with squad ammo and pull to combo off of, and Miranda for passive, overload and warp trigger.

Ok yeah i ended up finding it after posting the question. I have another question though. Do you have any vids of you fighting the purgatory boss? I can't seem to get past it on my adept. I either get flanked or it seems like the enemies never end. I can down 2 of the shield generators but the 3rd one in the back of the room seems like the waves of ppl never end for me to go blow it up and i die. I know you're working on the engineering guides so i'm lil late to the party for asking but if you find the time that you could make a vid of that spot I'd be much obliged.

If I can I'll go back, but right now I'm doing my big Horizon guide (In my mind the most important early fight). Here's a tip: Enemies continually will respawn in waves, so you'll want to kill them as fast as possible to get yourself a reprieve. A single warp thrown at the shield generators will destroy them. I like to take the left side, then cross infront of the boss while he's still shielded, and then destroy the right generator. I then just take cover and lay into him with singularities from shepard and my squadmate abilites. Just try to keep him out of cover, and once he's reduced to health, pull him off the platform and blow him up.

I usually bring a Blackstorm or Cain for certain bosses. I'm not a purist Adept but Pretty much everything Gatsby does will work for everyone, even the 360 folk (including myself). Albeit some of my powers seem to do a wee bit less then his, even with the Nemesis and Blood Dragon Armor.

It's fun throw killing Husks and Geth Seeker Drones. It's also fun to use Singularity on Scions, it stun locks them.

Thanks gatsby. I understand your engineer guide is top priority. Thanks for the tips on the fight though. I'll prob try it again here in a bit. Just gets so frustrating thinking i've done everything right and i'm bout to beat it and then die lol. Looking forward to the engineering videos for Horizon. You gonna make one for Jacks Recruitment?

For Horizon, Jacob with squad incendiary+pull and Grunt with concussive shot was a winner team for the adept.
Concussive shot to strip barrier, Jacob's pull, warp detonation or just shoot em till they die. :D
