Can you post a video of the two YMIR mech battle at the end of Garrus' loyalty mission? No matter how carefully I put my squad in cover, the game pops them out of cover once the cut-scene hits, and they get mowed down completely. This leaves me alone against two YMIR mechs (which my adept hates more than anything). Doable slowly, but there should be a better way.
I don't know that there is a "fast" way to do it. After the cut-scene I climb up a couple of tiers and hide behind cover. The mechs can't climb up there so you are safe as long as you time your attack when they pause.

The few times you fight two mechs at once, there's always some way to get to cover where they can't hit you. Even in that Blue Suns chain of N7 missions. In Freedom's Progress, I just hid in one of the prefab buildings.
Good guide by the way. I'm playing on Insanity+ and I have to say, it's pretty difficult. Would you recommend retraining to take Heavy Warp in place of Unstable Warp? I also have 3 ranks in pull/throw, I'm thinking I should take the 3rd ranks away so that I can have 4th level Energy Drain, which I am using as a shield-killer.

If you focus on a single YMIR entirely and finish it with a headshot it will explode and heavily damage or possibly destroy the second one outright. If you want to cheese your way through it just hide behind the boxes on the upper level (directly behind the highest of the 2x2 platforms).

Edit:
Retracted request....just found a working strategy. Much cleaner than any previous attempt.

I'm sure that if you're getting through the game, then you're doing it right.
There is no "right way, wrong way" in single player games

Yeah, in Freedom's Progress I scoot to the building that has Tali in it and attack through the window.

I hope you guys learn and enjoy this one, as there are lots and lots of 'splosions. This is my favorite part about being an Adept. P.S. Song at the end is Human After All (Justice Remix)
Biotic Combos
Let me know what you think.

This is about how I play my Adept, except I've found particular joy in Singularity + Shockwave as well.
Blowing up the world indeed.

Extremely good point about how you only really need one with their defenses stripped to get the ball exploding
Anyways as I mentioned before, if your taking an ally along i'd strongly suggest evolving warp to unstable warp on them. 9s cooldown is awesome and that 2m extra radius helps

The combo vid is equally awesome, next time someone says all Adept's can do is spam warp against defenses, or that all the combos are wasted because they only work on defenseless enemies, I'll point them to this thread.
Any tips (or plans for other vids) that use other squadmates for combos? Obviously Thane has warp as well, but how well does Samara's Throw, or Jack's Shockwave work in combo with Singularity?

Does it really matter? Can I just command them to follow me instead?
I'm an infiltrator ATM.

Probably doesn't matter much for an Infiltrator. For Adept it is very important, you rely on your squad for combos and to make up for your weaknesses. Keeping them alive and using their abilities is necessary

Cain allows you to end that fight in 10 seconds.
